The Mavs are without Kristaps Porzingis.

For the Lakers, both LeBron James and Anthony Davis were listed as Probable as of yesterday.

In the first Lakers game of the season, LAL fell to the Clippers. LeBron had a quiet 22, 5 and 5, Anthony Davis just 18 pts and 7 rebs, and Dennis Schroder shot just 5 of 15. Montrezl Harrel was nice off the bench: 6/7 FG for 17 pts and 10 rebs. And Kyle Kuzma had 15 off the bench.

In the first Mavs game of the season, the team lost by four to the Suns. Luka Doncic had 32 pts, 8 reb and 5 ast, but Tim Hardaway shot 3/10, Kristaps was out, and no other Mavs player scored more than 12 pts.

Giving up Seth Curry was a terrible move for the Mavericks, they kinda lack legit 3pts shooters at this moment which was a big part of Luka Doncic's game. Without shooters, Doncic wont be able to penetrate easily as the defense on him will be tougher, while passing the ball to an outside shooter will lead to a brick which can be mindblowing for their transition defense.
