I've noticed this too in the preseason and now in the regular. It's almost like they are playing an all star game out there. Zion had a couple of highlight blocks but his defense hasn't been that great overall. Even solid defenders like Steven Adams and Lonzo Ball don't look like they are engaged defensively at all. I wonder what's going on in the locker room. Maybe it's like you said, they are just going through the motions to cash those checks and trying to keep healthy.
