Who are some NBA players that you feel deserve more respect and praise?
Whether an NBA star or a role player, guys who consistently help their teams given their role on on the roster.
And if you name a player, mention what's good or underrated about him.

Kawhi Leonard - ultimate selfless superstar and plays basketball the right way. Zero weaknesses on the court.
Doug Christie - tall point guard who can defend and shoot. Perfect glue guy on a title team.
Manu Ginobli - per minute best player on spurs 2005,2007 rings and its not even close. High iq, ball handling, shooting and scoring, elite defense for a guard. No weaknesses other then he should of shot more.

CJ McCollum. He's an Allstar caliber player but people pretend he's a role player.

Best on ball defender in the NBA by a comfortable margin + has the potential to be a respectable offensive player
His ceiling is Tony Allen with a consistent jumpshot
Also Jarrett Allen is the best rim protector in the NBA and I don't believe he's getting the respect he deserves when he does everything guys like Gobert & Adebayo can do but is never held to their level

Paul George. Forced to carry the load while Kawhi load-manages

Jimmy Butler. Best player in last year's finals. Not even considered a top 10 player by media. Media has shown that they will ignore anyone who outshines and outplays the inferior player and pretend he doesn't exist.

Gobert doesn't get the respect he deserves and you expect Allen to? The advanced numbers do look good but why doesn't he start and play big minutes?

Basically all defensively dominant players IF their offensive game is around average.
Kawhi Leonard - ultimate selfless superstar and plays basketball the right way. Zero weaknesses on the court.
Zero weaknesses? Are you really sure about that?

LeBron James. While the consensus is that he is not only the best player in the league at this moment in time, but also the greatest player of all time, there are still a few empty minds, who are yet to see the light, who think otherwise.

When was Doug Christie ever a point guard? He was a good passer just like everyone on that Sacramento team except Peja. He was a decent shooter but his primary job revolved around defending against teams in era where it seemed like half of them had an elite wing on the roster so that made him very valuable.

Jimmy Butler has been underrated his whole career, but the last couple of months he has been completely overlooked. It's as if the finals didn't happen.

Gobert doesn't get the respect he deserves and you expect Allen to? The advanced numbers do look good but why doesn't he start and play big minutes?
Gobert is literally the highest paid center in NBA history, he gets too much respect considering all he can do is set screens and dunk
Allen is averaging almost 20 rebounds per 36 with 2 blocks shooting almost 70% from the field, he's a top 3 center in the league right now
The reason Allen doesn't play more minutes is to keep DJ happy

Mainstream media needs to hype up the usual suspects like Lebron, KD, Curry, Harden, etc. They need the cash cows.
When was the last time someone hyped up Butler in this forum?

Markelle Fultz.
Lots of people thought he was a bust, live under Tatum's shadow, but now after his shoulder injury he starts to put up stats, actually carrying his Magic team, 76ers gaved up him too early.

Blue Edwards. Jordan leaves and the Bulls get Blue Edwards instead of Pete Myers. Instant chip.
Or Doug West.

Set screens, dunk, rebound and defend at an elite level. He got paid for a reason. Can't be a top 3 center off the bench sorry. Maybe he can get the 6th man award

Karl Malone, arguably the greatest PF ever, 2nd on the points list, NEVER gets talked about.
Current player is Drummond...not alot less of a player then Davis, just stays on bad teams.

Sabonis is a 20 pts 12 rebs 5ast guy on insane percentages and you barely hear any hype and at only 24 years old is still getting better. Obviously the curse of the small market team but atleast Pacers got him for a reasonable contract due to him being underrated.
