he has a good presence, guards too afraid to pull up on him. cam and mikal have been playing with a lot of confidence this season though, let's see if they are not afraid of gobert.

Most guys are afraid of Gobert as they should be. Might be the most valuable thing he does. Just scaring guys away from the rim

Looks like Saric

biggest problem with our defense is the guards blow their defensive assignment too often leading to ayton having to contest a shot and resulting in a foul bc today's nba doesn't allow an ounce of physical defense. it's frustrating.

Xiao Yao You

Bojan sucking again. He brings little to the table if he's not hitting shots. Snyder wouldn't bench anyone though! :facepalm

They led the league in shooting. Have plenty of playmakers as well. Defense is usually their problem. Their leading scorer being an efficient one way player is a problem. Their number 2 scorer from last year being a big negative other than hitting shots is a problem. Conley playing off ball is a problem. The coach not making adjustments is a problem. Not having a PF is a problem.

The problem is Mitchell in reality is a 6th man (Lou Williams)

too early to tell. but things are definitely looking good. we're playing good and that's without booker, cp3 or ayton playing good on offense. the contributions are coming mainly from role players.

Maybe if you already were a playoff lock. But for everyone who wasn't, the bubble essentially WAS the playoffs. Win or go home. And they did everything they could to survive, which is a good sign for them in the real playoffs.

you make it sound like they had an advantage, as if they played in their home court. the fact is it was even playing ground, their opponents had the same environment...something you are conveniently ignoring.

close win, but still a win, on a back to back on the road nonetheless. Ayton finally had a nice game offensively too.

Ayton > Gobert

Ayton isn't there yet. he may have a higher ceiling than Gobert, but Rudy is playing DPOY defense right now. Ayton is still learning but making leaps defensively and anchoring the Suns defense, but in all honesty, the reason the Suns defense is so good is also because of Mikal Bridges. It's a combined effort between Ayton+Mikal and the rest of the team buying into playing team defense, but Mikal and Ayton are carrying the majority of the defensive load at the moment.

from twitter:
Through 6 games, Mikal Bridges is averaging 15.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3 threes, 1.3 blocks, .8 steals while shooting 53.3 FG%, 50 3PT%, 100 FT%. And he has ZERO TURNOVERS thus far.

he's going to come down to earth sooner or later, but yeah, i think philly is lamenting that trade rn lol.

i think they would have gotten bridges regardless (or shai being a close 2nd). i think with their history of injury riddled players they would have steered clear from porter. plus, they love their wings. and he shot 40% from 3 in college. would have fit like a glove. 3 n D...

Yh but they should have just drafted and held onto him, he's a perfect fit on any team because of his shooting and defense

Obviously they traded down for a reason. Maybe they had tax issues? It was known before the 2013 draft that Denver wanted to sale their first round pick because they didn't want the guaranteed contract and had a good team already. Do they regret not picking Gobert who they may or may not have taken with the pick anyway?
