Because Beal misses a wide open layup that would have gave Washinton the lead with seconds left in the game today.

Because the teams they're facing have overplayed them each time.

Because he doesn't have racist white boys like Sam Presti weeding out strong personalities like James Harden and Reggie Jackson who don't like playing with this piece of shit.

So Washington players are not a bunch of softies and they most likely quit on this bastard.

Two players are averaging a triple double(He and Jokic) and they are a combined what.....1 and 7? Or 8? And the 1 was against a team missing 3 starters due to covid violations.

Its really quite simple. Triple doubles are easier to get than they used to be and dont represent as much of an outlier performance team wise. When you didnt have 240 points being scored with all the missed and made shots to go with it to add rebounds and assists you needed to both have the other team miss more than usual and have your guys make more of their shots than usual. Both made winning more likely.

The way things are now your team doesnt have to play as well for everyone to accumulate stats. So here we are. Wizards score 115 a game and give up 122. Nuggets score 117 and give up 120. 9 teams give up more than 120ppg so far.

A triple double when teams score 93 is simply more suggestive of a good team performance than when the team scores 120 win or lose. Isnt much more to it than that.

The inflated stat era effect.

Because the rest of the team sucks.

Thomas Bryant 28 points on 10-11 shooting.
Rui 17 points
Neto 15 points
And of course Beal 28 points.

They're not a championship winning supporting cast, but an excuse for being the worst team in the league? Hell no.
It's still early, but it's not like Westbrook's history suggests that things will change that much.

Individual stats in a team game are often misleading.

He's producing his points and assist on 97 ORTG while the team produces on 108 overall. Beal is averaging 31 ppg on way higher efficiency so don't say its the help. I cant believe people are lying saying thats bad help.

In a game where over 260 points are scored people on both teams have to score a good bit. Only 2 people on the other roster(not starting lineup....active roster) weren't in double digits and one of them scored 8.

We have gone back to 60s ball where guys who aren't worth talking about will routinely score pretty well off sheer pace.

Not that im saying the people you mentioned suck. Im saying no matter if they suck or not....someone's gonna score when 176 shots and 60+ free throws get taken. And with so many of them being threes you have the spacing for a number of easier baskets if you take advantage. Essentially....18 points today isnt the same 18 from when most of us grew up. Just a different game.

His stubborn ass needs to focus his energy on "getting a consistent jumper" instead of spending his energy on "grabbing rebounds and getting Triple dubs".

He can't close games because his game is too predictable. He can't shoot when it matters (which is crunchtime).

Westbrooks efficiency and turnovers have always marred his trip-dubs. A 20/10/10 trip-dub isn't good if you shot 35 percent to score 20 points, and have 6 turnovers to get 10 assists. Basically you took up a large portion of offensive possessions to get stats at an inefficient rate, and the 10 rebounds part doesn't really move the needle at all.

Beal is the better player.

Also, idk why no one talks about it but the Wizards defense is total trash and why they were an awful team last year.

The Wizard's offense has been at it's best with Neto starting at the 1.

Multiple possessions in a row last night Westbrook was roving off Coby White and let him shoot 3 straight open 3's in a row (hit 2).

Westbrook is not good. Counting stats are stupid, and most advanced stats are too. A point guard needs to be able to shoot and take care of the ball...literally their two most important jobs.

Getting Rui back was good. He played really well and his J looks improved (better arc and smoother release).

He needs to give up the triple doubles on this team and score more. I'm so tired of seeing him come down and just force passes and then move out of the way. He's started that way every season after his MVP season and that's because he had another star with him. The coaching figures it out and tells him to play his game and not worry about the other guys, that they'll get in line. I'm not sure if the coach here will tell him that :lol

0-5 is big hole. But if it gets the coach fired, than so be it.

His true shooting is 47.3. He's a low-efficiency chucker. He has poor defensive IQ. He has a massive contract, yet is barely a positive player most of the time.
