View Full Version : Sack Steve Nash

Steve Nash has no idea how to coach the Brooklyn Nets. This guy was a liability on the defensive end in his prime, and as a coach now he is no different than when he was a player.

Disastrous defense played in Brooklyn.

Jarrett Allen playing fewer minutes than DeAndre Jordan too. Nash is brainless. Bench DeAndre Jordan!!!!

players choke too. chuck said it best "when you're talented, sometimes you tell your other teammates "screw what coach said, let's do this instead"...he said that in reference to paul george trying to pass blame on Doc for choking.

The biggest problem for Nash is he sees the game through an MVP PG's eyes and thus he expects his point guard to make the obvious and necessary reads for this offense to thrive. Unfortunately, Kyrie is a bad playmaker masquerading as a point guard.

KD will have to become the primary playmaker for the Nets to reach their full potential.

Didn't Kyrie say they didn't need a head coach and he could be head coach himself as he sees Nash as just a 'friend'?

Don't forget my main man Biz Markie's advice :oldlol:

Did you expect them to run through the Hawks?
Before the Hawks game the Nets were #1 in defense. The Hawks can score, they are no joke. The Nets and Nash will be fine, it takes time to implement a new system with no training camp and limited preseason games.

Steve Nash on adjustments made from Wednesday night’s game,

“Our defense can be a lot better for sure, but getting them (Hawks) from 140 to 114 isn’t a disaster.”

Such a clown. Also, I wonder what qualifies Amare Stoudemire as an assistant coach, this is a guy who punched Fire Extinguisher in his days as a player and missed playoff series because of it.

Atlanta wasn't even on fire, they are just the better team right now and nearly every way. The Nets will get a lot better and contend in the East but other teams like Atlanta will too. No cakewalks in the East or West this year.

Nets need to start Jarrett Allen instead of DeAndre. At this point in their careers, Allen is just the better player. Inserting him into the starting lineup should marginally improve their defensive and rebounding woes which is where the real problem lies.

Agreed Deandre is such a bum it is disgusting that he is getting paid 10 million-plus starting over Allen due to locker room politics. I think if they insert Allen in the starting line up the Nets will be a lot better for the rest of the season as a result of that lineup change.

Steve Nash didn't miss all those shots in crunch time. Kyrie made himself free on that three and missed. Durant had a wide open midrange shot and bricked it.

What does Steve Nash have to do with it? :facepalm

Even if it went in, and Brooklyn won. There are defensive problems on this team.

Blame the front office for hiring an offensive-minded coach who was coached by his new assistant who also has never heard about the word defense in his life, in D'Antoni.

Wizards play zero D as well. The Wizards dynamic duo was more effective down the stretch than the Nets dynamic duo.

It's A VC3!!!
01-03-2021, 10:05 PM
It's not Steve's fault. The Nets lost 3 games by one possession. At that point the players need to put the ball in the basket. One shot in those 3 games makes this season look a lot different. 6-2 vs 3-4. Still, the Nets have a lot of glaring problems right now that are reflective of a 2nd round exit team.

Nike D'Antoni
01-03-2021, 10:15 PM
Wizards had like 13 offensive rebounds at the end of the game, thanks to Steve Nash sitting out Jarrett Allen. But somehow he is not to be blamed?
Steve Nash has to go, that all I know.

Durant was an elite defender around 2016-2017 but he has dropped off significantly in the last few years. 2019 warriors were only 13th ranked defensively and their defense with Durant in playoffs that year was very bad. I guess Durant isn't about that life (defense) and that's one of the reasons why he wanted Steve Nash in the first place.

Nike D'Antoni
01-09-2021, 02:04 AM
I wonder if Nash will have the balls to drop DeAndre Jordan, maybe Irving or Durant, or dont know who wants Deandre playing.
Anyone watching can see how Jarett Allen is too good, needs more minutes. And less DeAndre.
All nets losses are thanks to DeAndre Jordan playing minutes. To point out, There was no Valunciunas later on the court either to play Deandre Jordan those minutes.

Well, one hopes Steve Nash learns. He is a rookie coach after all.

Allen ain't gonna win you games alone.

Just got to wait till KD and Kyrie decide its time to play ball.

Thats the NBA we live in now. Where stars need to "rest" during the year.

He never coached in the NBA ever. Let alone, at all. He should have learned first before taking a job with so many expectations. Like who the hell you think you are?

Nick Nurse?

It's not exactly a tragedy but Nash never got a fair shot. He was hired as a puppet and may now be getting replaced for a new puppet. The stars have a lot of power but a coach can't just be neutered.

The counterterrorism argument of course is that a coach's first job shouldn't be coaching a contender with the superstars. They should have hired an established Go9d coach to begin with but Irving and maybe Durant didn't want someone with any power. Well they can now do whatever they want except for winning a championship. But if you want to miss two weeks because your sister has a birthday sure that's cool just let us know when you return. Or don't if you don't feel like it.
