Both seem in trouble with their franchises. Raptors might need to add another player to work out salaries, plus draft pick.

Inb4 delusional Raps fans: "W-we can't trade Siakam. He is gonna be better than Kawhi someday."

If Toronto actually wants to have a better chance of winning a championship, they should try to trade for Harden.

Why the hell would Houston be interested in that?!.. They already have a younger/better player at the same position/role under contract for the next 3 seasons for a 3rd-4th the amount of salary cost of Pascal Siakam.

"Makes a ton of sense".. how?

I think Houston fans, should lower their demands and expectation.
When you trade a superstar, you never get equivalent value.

Spurs traded Kawhi for Derozan, on top of it they gave away Danny Green too. Robbery.
Cavs traded Kyrie for Isaiah Thomas, Robbery again.

You always lose when you trade a superstar.

Yeah.. but why the hell would they trade for Pascal Siakam!? Have you watched Christian Wood play? They have zero need for a 35+ million a year player when they already have a younger/better player who's making around 10..

Your trade proposal makes absolutely zero sense. And we're not overating Harden's value.. he's under team control for MULTIPLE YEARS! (Newsflash..we DON'T have to trade him).. You better come with something better than a 35 million per player who doesn't even fill a team need or brings better youth/skill at his position, but is 3.5× the price tag..

I know Pascal Siakam's contract works in a trade machine... but it doesn't make a lick of sense in real life. Who else do you have to offer?

:lol First of all Kawhi was coming off an injury and it was uncertain how good he would be. Derozan >>> Siakam. And honestly Isiah was coming off of the best season of his career so you could kind of see some upside there if you squinted.

Harden is clearly better than either of those players (because Kawhi was injured while Harden is 100% healthy and under contract multiple years while Harden >>>>>>>>>>>> Kyrie not even comparable. In addition Siakam just isn't good.

Plus Houston has absolutely zero need for Siakam.. not even a player of damn need. Next trade offer..

Consider age. Kawhi was traded when he was 27. Harden is 4 years older, he is at 31. You won't get an equivalent value, trades like Harden for Lebron or Harden for Kawhi or Harden for another superstar don't happen around.

Again.. why would you trade for Pascal Siakam if you're the Rockets? You still fail to answer that question?

Cause I see it fitting with both players in trouble with their respective teams. It might be a big no for Sixers to give 10 years of BEN Simmons away for 2 - 3 years of Harden. Especially now Sixers look so good with Doc.
And am trying to think of other offers, like the nets with LeVert. But Siakam is better than Levert.

So no deal.. we don't want Ben Simmons either.

Well he's pretty much the best you can get tbh with you. Young All NBA player. I don't think there is a better centerpiece for a deal out there (Brooklyn won't trade Kyrie).

Rockets won't get an unproven #1 guy in Siakam. He could turn out to be as great as predicted, but the risk seems too high even pairing some good players and draft picks with him for Harden.

Siakam is averaging 16 PPG on bad efficiency and doing it on the 29th ranked offense. If Rockets want to trade their superstar for a guy playing like he should be in the g league, go right ahead.

Siakam is the second worst starter in the NBA so far this season. Only Kelly Oubre has been worse

it makes no sense at all actually.

For Rockets: Siakam isn't a good prospect and he isn't a star, rockets wouldn't want him.
For Raptors: Harden wouldn't win with that supporting cast and he doesn't want to be there
