View Full Version : So we're not going to acknowledge the fact that Christian Wood is kicking ass?

How the hell did this guy go undrafted, how did he slip through so many teams, and how was he available for peanuts?

The guy has so many skills.. how the hell did he slip and go undrafted?!

He should’ve been drafted 2nd rd but to act like he didn’t develop his game just shows you never followed his career until now

you sound like sour ass grapes.. APPARENTLY NO ONE FOLLOWED HIS CAREER BUDDY AND HE IS GETTING PAID PEANUTS.. (Hence reason why I started this thread and why he went undrafted...keep up)

This isn't Jeremy Lin.. Christian Wood isn't just a one trick pony knocking down 3s.. He can score GOBB on these grapes. :D

I knew about wood in college. Sixers signed Wood his rookie season. So speak for yourself why you had no knowledge of Wood. You clearly can’t comprehend grown man words. Who said he is Jeremy Lin? I said you sound like the Lin fans overhyping him up solely based on production. I replied to the “playing like a legit franchise player” nonsense you typed.

What a stupid comment

He's not a franchise star, whatever that means, but he's also not a streaky player like Lin

You’re clearly not bright. So you’re starting 2021 like 2020 like 2019...shame. Jeremy Lin during his Linsanity hype was not streaky. He bags a stretch where he was avg 24 & 9 which prompted his whole hype in the first place. But you had to have been there. You probably were too busy online looking to reply instead of watching games and the public response.

So saying someone is sounding like those Linsanity fans is not off base here over a couple games of production from Wood. Which has a bozo screaming he looks like a legit franchise player. He doesn’t and those stats will drop just like Jeremy Lin eventually did.

Class is dismissed.

Hate to be the one to spike your Long Island Iced Tea, but...

Christian Wood has averaged 21.9 points, 9.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 12 games as a starter in 2019-20.

So it's more like 16 games now -- plus the 4 preseason games.

Totally irrelevant because the topic creator is a rockets fan who knew nothing of Wood before this season. But nice try, I mean you did try it. You even included preseason. Where they do that at? Jesus. Guess you can get a participation trophy before you pick up your face and leave

He was a head case that thought he was better than he was. After ending up in the Gleague he realized he had to put in the work. Even this off season supposedly teams were worried about him dropping off again once he got paid.

C'mon man.

Facts. You added preseason when no one does that first of all. When did preseason stats become an indicator of what’s to come? Never. No one gets overpaid from preseason production. Then you went and included stats from last season when the thread creator is specifically citing this season production.

C’mon man

Don't mind him. He's not the greatest evaluator of talent either. When I said the Sixers should snatch up Trae Young if he fell to them at 10, he said "No way. Kid will be a sure fire bust in the NBA. If we're lucky Collin Sexton will fall to us" :oldlol:

You clearly don’t follow basketball and it’s sad. He came out of college after 2 years raw. He’s been in the nba for 5 years. He has over 120 g league games. Spent 4 seasons in g league while getting call ups in the NBA. He’s 25 now. 20 when he was drafted. But yea no way he developed his talent overnight. Oh wait it wasn’t overnight. It was a grind and process shithead.

What's shakin?

Love watching the youth this year. Keldon is a stud. Derrick White is a stud and coming off injury. Vassell isn't playing but has proven more than capable. Dejounte and Walker have been consistent. They're actually fun to watch this season. Last season was the opposite.

How about the Heat? I haven't caught much of them this season yet, but I liked that Precious kid when I caught a few spot minutes of a game (Christmas maybe?) He looked like a man out there. :applause:

Yes, he was a steal.

If every team in the league passed on you twice, you simply weren't viewed at the time as having NBA potential. He is an outlier who developed into a good player.

From what I've read he had all the potential in the world. It was what was going on between the ears holding him back. Teams were still worried about paying him this off season for the same reasons. I saw him in the Gleague and he was easily the best player there

Reminds me of Hassan whiteside. Talented bigs that ate cocky and considered tough to coach. I also think being a 3 and D center is more valued now than ever.

Has Wood shown signs he's cocky/tough to coach? Don't rly know much about him other than his draft story
