View Full Version : Don’t you find it embarrassing that tonight was literally Curry’s greatest game ever?

A meaningless game in the regular season on a Warriors team that will probably miss the playoffs?
Where’s Curry’s legendary playoff and Finals performances to discuss?
We’re congratulating Curry for underachieving with the young and talented Warriors, that’s how low his career has fallen :oldlol:

Let’s talk about a meaningless thread from a meaningless poster. I wonder if this site has an ignore button. Because it will make this meaningful.

Curry has a better supporting cast than the crew Bron took to the Finals in 2018 and we’re celebrating that he reached .500 :oldlol:

Was Lebron's greatest game vs Bobcats? Steph's gonna have a bunch of these games this season if he stays healthy. Steph could have had at least one of these in the 2015-2019 era if the Warriors weren't up big by the start of the 4th every time he started out hot.

To be fair, almost every all-time great player had their best game during the regular season.
Ever since the welfarefan has been so active and hyper recently due to curry's fluke victory against dame and the blazers, Baller789 is nowhere to be found atm. I strongly wonder why. :ohwell:

To be frank, this is the only thing he's excited about in his life right now because he knows that trump is stepping down already and thus, no more financial aid for individuals on welfare. A last hurrah, more or less. :(

Hey, I used to get on Curry's case for never having scored more than 54 points before...
Getting to 60 was necessary and now he's done it so good for him.

The funny thing is that the OP probably seriously believes this is Curry's best game when anyone who's familiar with Curry knows he's had far better. A note for you ignoramuses: Curry still looks rusty.

Yeah, that was the obvious thing missing in Curry's career. A 60 point game.
That's why Hakeem Olajuwon is constantly shitted on for never scoring more than 52 points in a game.

It was an obvious thing. The most obvious missing thing is a Finals MVP.
No one mentions Hakeem as an elite scorer and that's one reason why - so Hakeem is not in the conversation when we talk about history's greatest scorers and that's how we constantly sh/t on Hakeem when it comes to not scoring 60. But Curry can still be in the conversation depending on what he does with the rest of his career.

It was an obvious thing. The most obvious missing thing is a Finals MVP.
It wasn't even the third most obvious thing:
1. Missing a Finals MVP
2. Missing an all-defensive team selection
3. Missing a double digit averaging assist season as a superstar point guard
And not only is Hakeem an elite scorer, despite his career high being 52, he is arguably the greatest (albeit not most dominant) scorer at his position. He certainly has the highest career playoff ppg for a center. That is the difference between a playoff scorer and a regular season scorer. And the difference between a volume scorer and a consistent scorer.

I wouldn't be embarrassed if a ***** dropped 60 in a CBA game or a G league game. much less an actual nba game

No. Game 6 vs warriors 2016.

Unfortunately, somebody is just going to deem that anything he's missing in his resume are just media created awards so who would care about them. :confusedshrug:

No. Game 6 vs warriors 2016.
The game Bogut didn't play because he was injured for the series, Iguodala was having spasms, Harrison Barnes went 0 for 5 from three and scoreless overall and Curry the best player on the Warriors was loaded with fouls and fouled out before the end of the game? That is the inferior player's best game? That really is embarrassing.

Curry's best game is probably the OKC game in 2016 when he hit the 35-ft game winner.
Even with that he's had plenty of better games than this one, including in the playoffs.
Still, some of the greatest players have done worse in terms of their greatest game and we don't question their mettle. Kobe's a clutch player, Mamba mentality, so-on & so-on and his greatest game was a January game in the regular season against a garbage Raptors team in 06. And?

But he never had a chance at your #2 and #3 so that was just plain unrealistic.
Scoring 60 for a three point scorer of his caliber is important for his legacy.
Hakeem is on no ones list of all time great scorers. He's well after the usual suspects if his name even gets brought up at all.
Glad to hear that you always have me in your mind.

I find it embarrassing that the op doesn't understand basketball. It's not always about stats. Curry on the floor draws so much attention away from others.
