So I tuned into youtube to check out Lebron's highlights in the loss to the spurs and caught his asinine opinions on the Capitol building riots and was appalled to see that he had spun it into A racism issue. I was actually taken aback that he actually went there. It was such An unnecessary, inappropriate, untimely and fraudulent argument.
It literally had nothing to do with Race at all, yet here we are America.
I tuned into First Take wondering if they would point out how unnecessary, divisive and Stupid these comments were and of course I found more of the same. A somber Stephen A smith spoke as if Rodney King had been beaten in the Capital building. As if 10 black men had been murdered on the Capital steps.
Nothing of the sort happened of course. This is all SJW narrative and the talking heads in the NBA KNOW better than to question any of it. Narrative is the new truth.
I tuned in to skip and Shannon wondering if they would call out the BS narrative and I saw an angry Shannon Sharpe spewing the same racist propaganda. Shannon: "These people were angry because blacks voted in record numbers". Really? Let A white man make a racist statement like that and see what happens. That's ignoring the point that the Capital protest literally had nothing to do with Black people voting.
Lets break down Lebrons, the NBA'S and ESPN'S narrative for what it is. The establishment is racist because only A few white folks had died. How many white folks would have had to have died for Lebron to adequately conclude that the establishment wasn't racist? 10? 20? 50?
Why not send out condolences to the families that lost loved ones and lament the fact that America is divided politically?
Instead the issue was highjacked by identity politics and turned into an object lesson on America's racism, further dividing us.
Ignore the narrative with extreme prejudice. The Capital building had nothing to do with race and shame on the race baiters for being so cold and callous that they'll stoop to any level to try and further divide us. The Capitol building was largely A peaceful political protest that had A small fraction of violent agitators. One woman lost her life in questionable circumstances but she was white so we'll overlook it. It doesn't fit the NBA'S narrative. This was an event incited by the President of the united states. A man who cannot accept defeat and will sacrifice anyone in an effort to retain power. That is the story. Hopefully next time more white folks will die so that we don't have to offend the SJW'S.
As for Lebron.... I largely watch the NBA for him. Huge fan of his for many reasons. Unfortunately, outside of basketball he is as dumb as A bag of hammers. He has A team of people that help him develop his image. Apparently, he wants to portray himself as A SJW in the same vein as say Muhammed Ali. Muhammed Ali was A real American Hero. A man who lost much for taking A stand against REAL social injustice (as opposed to sjw narratives). What Lebron is doing is not Brave or commendable. He is in A political climate that has fostered this narrative over truth paradigm. He is praised for every stupid thing he says. He is no Hero. A hero faces loss and adversity for taking A stand. Lebron only stands to gain in this political climate.
All of the traditional means of determining Truth have been thrown out and we are left with identity politics. Each identity group gets to stake its claim in what's true and you cannot question it. Narrative has Trumped Logic and that is why the Capital building protest- which had nothing to do with race- is now the evidence of racism in America.

Yes, but only Because Lebron is an idiot and his subject matter is fraudulent.

NBA media bs aside...You may have missed his point. He's been consistent about this stuff since day 1. Nothing new here. No need for a lengthy meltdown.

Not Melting down. Just citing the facts and doing A critical analysis of his argument. I suppose you would like to see me get kicked in the balls?

Facts? LeBron race baiting to uplift his image?... Seems kind of ridiculous, don't you think? Personally I think that's just your perception of what you heard. There was nothing offensive about it unless you're triggered by the current political climate imo. The guy gets asked about this stuff all the time and isn't scared to say what he thinks. You're free to disagree with it. It's not some NBA conspiracy to throw white people under the bus.
Oh btw, who do you think is the GOAT? Just wondering.

Lebron is the Goat in my opinion. Largely because His basketball IQ is far higher than Jordan's and he is A system unto himself. Jordan was A better athlete, mentally stronger and a greater scorer overall. Jordan couldnt be plugged into any team and then carry them to the Finals within A year though. That is unique to Lebron and only Lebron. Lebron is basically A high level coach living in an athletes body. He could very easily be in the finals well into his 40's and decades if he becomes A coach. I think 5 years from now everyone will know that Lebron is the best OVERALL to ever do it. MJ may hold onto the status as most prolific scorer and most determined winner though.

It's absolutely a race issue. At least for blacks it is. All those white dudes basically being allowed to storm the capital was just another reminder of the double standard between white in blacks in this country especially when it comes to dealing with law enforcement and the judicial system. There's no way in hell them police would of let a bunch ninjas run up in the bitch and take shit over. Blacks are killed by cops all the time for much less.

Keep in mind that there were Mexicans and Blacks in that Protest...Okay? Also, keep in mind that this is politics and that those cops may have been Trump supporters. A lot of people think the election was stolen (I dont) and those cops may have been of the same mindset. Whites are killed by cops for less in Larger Numbers than blacks (at least in part because we represent A larger portion of the population). That is A fact. The difference is that the Blacks were smart enough to recognize the problem and do something about it. Most Whites are more or less just waking up to the fact that we need police reform. I can show you hundreds of videos of whites getting gunned down and murdered by cops. My only contention with the movement is, again, the racist aspect of it-BLACK LIVES MATTER. Of course they do, but the message implies that only blacks are facing police brutality when in reality the problem is systemic and we all need to band together for change.
This identity politics nonsense is tearing this country apart and it makes us weaker as A people and the government stronger as A centralized force. A house divided against itself cannot stand.
That said I don't want to dismiss the fact that Blacks are racially profiled. I do it. If I go into A black neighborhood I am on high alert. Black neighborhoods are usually impoverished and poverty breeds Crime. I also go into high alert when I am in white trash territory- Trump flags, confederate flags, rundown trailers and trespassers will be shot signs.
Cops aren't out to kill blacks, or whites for that matter. They are scared, poorly trained and just want to go home. High crime areas are frightening. How would you like to be A cop in Chicago?
All issues are multidimensional and to just boil everything that happens down to racism is divisive, harmful to your own understanding and very unlikely to do any actual good.

Maybe 2% of those protesters were non white so that's not a good point. And of course some of the white cops helped the mostly white trump supporters. That's kind of the point. That just makes it worse and has always been part of the problem with the justice system being unfair. This is also a terrible argument.
And BLM has taken on different meanings to different people on both sides but initially it was to let peoele know that black lives matters too. We already know white lives matter. There's been a long history of blacks being treated much worse than whites and this is what blm was addressing. Of course some whites get treated poorly too but in general blacks have always had it much much worse.
Now that all said I actually don't have a problem with trump supporters doing what they did. If you have a point to make and you can get away with it all the power to you. I'm not but hurt because i know my black ass can't get away with it. It is what it is. I also don't think it's constructive to constantly complain and play victim as black people. Yeah shits still unfair but that's life and its not near as bad as it used to be. There's lots of opportunities for black people these days. Most of the issues we have as a people is collateral damage from hundreds of years of slavery, poor education and living in poverty. As a black man I can know and acknowledge this as a fact without letting it define me. To many blacks let that shit define them.
And I get where alot of white people especially poor white people are coming from. They're struggling also and as poor people are also looked at as less than. If your a white dude who has nothing and has never a had a hand in oppressing blacks I can see why they could feel a certain way with blacks now getting special treatment in some situations. It's complicated because it's not just about race, class and politics are huge factors also.
