Top defenders this season by defended field goal percentage with a minimum of 100 DFGA:

1. Lebron James - 34.0% (34/100)
2. Andre Drummond - 37.3% (50/134)
3. Anthony Davis - 37.5% (48/128)
4. Andrew Wiggins - 37.7% (52/138)
5. Caris LeVert - 37.7% (46/122)

Defensive FG% depends on the distance of shots defended. Perimeter players will have much better % than bigs (lower is better) even though bigs have more impact on D.

If all you guarded was the other teams shooting role players and they shot about normal from 3 with you as their technical matchup.....would that make you look great in this formula?

Just wondering if it can correct for such things.

I think there is separate dFG% for 2pt and 3pt shots. The stat in the OP looks like it's aggregate.
