He is 5th in the NBA in blocks. He has played excellent man to man defense + team defense. Coaching + culture matters.

6/6 with MJ in place of Pippen

That's what landing next to the DPOY and goat competitor can do for a rookie

And Wiggins is infact far more talented than pippen and a prodigy #1 pick, not a walk-in towel-boy like Pippen

Goat competitor? He didn't make his HS team, was third man in college, 1-9 without Pippen, horrific baseball player, and literally worst GM in the history of organized sports

He's arguably the worst competitor ever

Conclusion - Jordan had 6 carry-job rings that were far greater carry-jobs than 11' Dirk

* getting cut in HS makes him the goat competitor - nothing was handed to him

* he was Player of the Year in college (full zone format) over Hakeem and Ewing

* 1-9 as a rookie 8 seed > 1-9 with champion top seed or missing playoffs with the East all-star center

* Everyone in history had a teammate outscore them for a playoff run, whereas Jordan just needed a "pippen" (someone that was far inferior statistically in every series or run - see previous post above)

* hit .202 in minors after not playing since junior high (goat) - everyone in baseball says he would've eventually made majors

* Okay, he was a bad GM... no one is perfect... but he's a great owner (quadrupled the team's value since buying team)

The Dingo Effect.

What effect is that? Being such a poor defender that you make a mediocre defender look like a good defender when you're on the floor together?

:ohwell:

That reminds me. Wiggins has outscored him in their most recent game as well.

Getting teammates easy looks in a free flowing offense, allowing players to work less for their production offensively and give more effort on the defensive end.

Too difficult a concept for them.

^^^ exactly... Curry's brand helps win the team attrition battle and optimal use of finite energy on both ends (less energy used on offense allows more energy for defense, and vice versa).

Otoh, lebron's ball-dominance doesn't shift defenses/wear down teams like the ball movement he faces on the championship level, so opponents are always fresher with more capacity to go off offensively (14' Finals, 09' ECF).

Ultimately, individual assists and stats don't matter if they come at the expense of team assists and team offense

Steph's skills in today's format can achieve peak Jordan individual stats within a goat all-time offense, with a 1-time all-star as his sidekick (carry-job scoring distribution)

No one has been better in today's format overall, despite not yet being "thee" guy that delivers the Warriors a championship in the Finals

Just a few days ago you said the Warriors style of play was cancerous, given Kelly Oubre's slump. You are just a mess.

Jordan allows a 2-way team (goat-level team offense and team defense)

Jordan is the goat 2-point jumpshooter and off-ball player, so he facilitates ball movement and energy-efficient scores for teammates just like Curry does..

but MJ can also participate in the defensive effort (not just allow more energy on defense like Curry), thus boosting his defenses higher than Curry's, while still having better offense

I conceded that Oubre is struggling and bad right now

But I was also saying that the Warriors must take some blame because Oubre is a highly assisted player like Klay, so it's all about putting him in the right spots, which they aren't doing apparently

I agree. Too bad Bran traded Wiggins for Love. If he was really comparable to Jordan he would have turned Wiggins into his own Pippen.
