Bird got more beat up by Detroit in postseasons, but never cried to Stern.
Why did MJ do the opposite and get the NBA to create a flagrant foul rule?
It's like trump crying about the recent presidential election being rigged.

The Pistons openly admit that they grew their championship pedigree off the back of the Celtics whooping their ass in the mid 80s. So Bird was like the older kid in this situation, why would he complain? He was the one winning. In MJ's situation he was the kid a couple grades lower being knocked around by bullies. So he said something.
Bird also DID complain about Lambier. He said when Bill fouled you he didn't just look to stop you from scoring, he tried to maim and hurt you. Lambier is a true ****ing scumbag though. So that's not a surprise.

Bird mentally tougher. Bird is on Bron levels of mental toughness.

Dennis Rodman didn't really emerge into a star until 1989, which is right when Bird's prime ended.
Bird mostly faced the Adrian Dantley Pistons.

Jordan had a lottery cast and Bird a super-team
Changing the rules was Jordan's version of colluding, except it helped everyone, not just him.. but everyone knew that his goat athleticism and skill was the biggest beneficiary

Michael Jordan is a snitch. He also went 1-11 for 4 points in 22 minutes vs Puerto Rico in the 92 Olympics.
