If they would accept Walker or Smart it makes sense just fir player value but it wouldn't make sense for Washington.

Don't see why the Celtics would actively pursue Beal though. They have Tatum and Brown they don't need further assets at the wings.

Beal and Tatum are super close and Beals offense will be needed in the playoffs. Adding Beal makes the Celtics a legit contender.

Lots of guys are friends. Harden and Westbrook are and were friends. It doesn't matter. The Celtics biggest need has to do with bigs, and it's so far not even that huge of an issue. Beall would help any team he joined but the real price for the Celtics would be Jalen Brown, and the deal isn't worth doing. It would be a lateral move at best.

Celtics should focus on tatum and brown on the wing. Beal might end up like hayward where it was hard to get the most out of all players vying for minutes. The celtics need better interior, and for me, better coaching.
