Coming off an achilles injury...this guy is so incredible. He still looks like the only guy in the NBA who can equalize or one-up Lebron in a playoff series (obviously Lebron isn't at his absolute peak anymore).
I gotta say, we all know his skills but he is so underrated as an ATHLETE because of his lankiness.
For his size, he is super quick/agile/coordinated. Yeah he's not gonna look like Lebron, but last night KD did a crossover/hesi from the three point line, took one dribble blowing by his defender, two more steps and he was already at the rim with an easy layup. Like, he won't look like the fastest guy in the league because of his height, be he covers ground as fast as anybody off the dribble in my opinion. I think he is an all-time BASKETBALL athlete.
I'm really hoping we can see a game 7 finals between the Lakers/Nets and truly see if Durant is gonna send Lebron off the title of "best player in the league" one and for all.

His length and shooting are so ridiculous he doesn't need to be explosive to score. He's the most effortless scorer I've ever seen.
It's A VC3!!!

KD is having his best season ever. At 31 years of age and coming off a very difficult injury does not usually lead to a player having their best season but it's been a joy watching KD. Every single shot he takes is a good shot. Every time he shoots the ball I think it's going in. His turnovers need improvement but every player has something to improve on. if KD finishes the season with these averages and the Nets are a top 3 team in the league he has a case for MVP.

But he IS explosive though, it's just him being so tall makes him seem "slower" than the ground he actually covers. Like he covers just as much ground as shorter quick guards, but he only needs like two steps. I mean Durant has freakish BASKETBALL athleticism for his size, he moves like a 6'4 guard but his 6'11.

That's not explosive... that's long graceful strides. Like a gazelle. Explosive is like peak derrick rose or westbrook... coming at you like a bomb. It's much harder for those types to recover from major injury than a smooth graceful skilled player like KD.

Yes he does. Just a wait a few years, he’ll suck and it’ll be over.
But yeah Durant figured something out with his passing and mental game in GS.
Never had the level of passing he does now.
I mean he isn’t like, Harden or even Kyrie level as a passer, but he is better.
He’s getting contained in the playoffs though. It’s over for him having these easy postseason runs.
The East is loaded with teams that can guard him and his team isn’t stacked in the right areas to prop him up.

Durant played great D in 2017 too. He really put it all together. That year was his peak.

Looks like he lost some weight as well, he seems quicker than before the injury to me.
Incredible talent. KD and kyrie to me are both fun to watch and they could have been great players but they just aren’t equipped with the right mindset and attitude.

Kd with another great game and a game winner.
Dude might win MVP if the Nets get a good seed.

Lol Harden is flat out better than KD.
Jokic is better than Harden.
And guys like Kawhi and Embiid are just having Kobe level seasons as far as mental focus and playing crazy well on both ends.
All mentioned are better than Durant nightly right now

Laughable take.
Both KD and Kyrie are great players (obviously KD is better than Kyrie).
