"MacAskill was well known for feats of strength such as lifting a ship's anchor weighing 2,800 pounds (1,300 kg) to chest height, and an ability to carry barrels weighing over 350 pounds (160 kg) apiece under each arm or reputedly able to lift a hundredweight (50 kg) with two fingers and hold it at arm's length for ten minutes."

7'10", 44 inch wide chest. The ability to carry a Shaq under each arm. The largest "non-pathological giant" in recorded history. What would this look like in the league?

Here he is next to a 6'5" man.

Except that it’s no longer much about height and strength now. Unless he has great agility and stamina too.

I doubt his physical feats but if they're true and for arguments sake let's give him equally impressive mobility/endurance he should go to football rather than basketball.
Just hand him the ball and he holds it up in the air and leisurely walks to the endzone dragging the whole defensive line on his legs while fans look on in horror as they are faced with the harsh reality that their sport is now dead.

7'10" running back? His legs would get destroyed.

Sounds more like Stephen without KD.

He couldn't beat Kevin Love off the dribble when it mattered. :lol

Rockets didn’t need one if Harden wasn’t such a bum. Paul got them 3-2 over the warriors before he went down and Harden couldn’t finish them off.

Apparently he travelled the world performing these feats for the PT Barnum Circus. He also performed for them for the Queen of England in her palace. He's pretty well documented as legit.

Wouldn't you want him at tackle or something? He can just handle two linemen every play.
