Hes a walking 20/10/4 on 50/40/80, shooting six three pointers per game and nice post moves, as a seven footer. He deserves way more recognition than he gets.

One of the best offensive Cs in the game.

Nets or Warriors should have fetched him.

Magic can have Derozan for him :facepalm

Uh. He’s only been in the playoffs three times and once was only for 3 total minutes his rookie year. He got locked down by Marc Gasol in 2019 but he absolutely played well last playoffs unless you think averaging 28.0 PPG on 60.4 TS% is getting locked down.

This.

And he absolutely deserves credit for leading the Magic into the playoff picture despite having slush piles for a team. Those teams are embarrassingly bad but somehow they are always competitive when healthy.

Why is Vucevic not given credit then? Hes not that bad defensively. He could be the third star on a championship team, basically a taller Kevin Love.

I remember when he was the backup for Spencer Hawes during the Process days:roll:

Because no one cares about the Magic, how hard is that to understand? His stats nor his style of play are exceptional enough to warrant hype. This is equivalent to complaining as to why no one talks about Gordon Hayward: because they nor their teams matter.

Have you ever heard anyone say something along the lines of can't wait to see Vucevic put up 20 points tonight, so exciting!? I for sure haven't. Now compare that to, say, Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson, who play for a team almost as bad and there's your answer.

Who said anything about exciting or style. the guy is a statistical beast at that size and position and would be the perfect trade target for a contender.

I did, I presume you can read? You asked why Vucevic doesn't get hype, I gave you the answers. Not once did I dispute his quality. The Magic are shit + Vucevic isn't exciting enough to watch = no media attention thus no hype. Stevie Wonder would be able to see that, why can't you?

I don't know which center qualifies as exciting apart from a couple (Embiid, Jokic), but ok, why then isnt he in the convo for trades?

He's indeed very good.

Could be huge for a contender

Hey man, it's a league riddled with incompetent management. Some team, God knows which, will be paying a 37 year old Al Horford about 30 million dollars in 2023. They'd rather have the big name than the substance. I mean, look at the Nets and Kyrie. Textbook example. Vucevic isn't elite at anything, but he is good at everything.

I like watching him. He's got a really nice J for a big, and nice post moves.

That I can relate to. I'm not against exciting players per se, the opposite actually, but you need to strike a balance between that and guys who quietly do a great job like Vuc. He can be an important piece for a title run.

Orland should trade him and tank properly OR trade all of their useless rookies and picks for a second star.
