If Lebron focused more on winning rather than his vanity for stats and awards, he would have had a higher winning %. Kobe did just that. Focused on winning without forcing stacked teams via collusion/recruitment/team hopping.

Lebron has won four Championships as his team's best player. Kobe just piggy-backed off of Shaq for his first three. I'll give him full value for 2009 and 2010 though. And no, it's not close between Kobe and Lebron. Kobe is a super competitive, athletic, volume shooter. He does have a better killer instinct than Lebron but that's it. Lebron's total game is far superior to Kobe's. Lebron should end his career as a top five player, while Kobe doesn't quite crack the top ten. There are too many great players in the past that people forget about.
