I did not get a chance to watch the game, but how did they play together?

All one needs to know is this:

Kyrie - 28 shot attempts
Durant - 25 shot attempts
Harden - 14 shot attempts

This is a disaster waiting to happen. Putting Kyrie on a team like this is like electing Donald Trump and expecting him to give up power peaceably.

Doubt Irving normally out-shoots Harden by that kind of margin. But if he does so long as he's playing they should still be able to trade him for a good player(s).

I think that may be a good idea, give the shots to Irving and let him statspad so we can increase his trade value and flip him for some role players next to KD and Harden later.

I wonder who's stupid enough to trade for him. Maybe Spurs could be a good landing spot for him.

His use of peaceably was correct.

Maybe give them more than one game to figure things out:hammerhead:

While we should give them a month or two to figure it out, it is obvious that Kyrie Irving should be the one to sacrifice compared to Harden and Durant for the following reason: they are easily the superior scorers who can play different styles.

Moreover, Harden is one of the best at the pick and roll play in league history. That is why he and Durant clicked right away, despite not playing together for over 9 years.

If they wanted to trade him, they would have done it with the Harden deal. Kyrie is real good friends with KD, he won't get traded at the earliest until next summer if they choke in the PO

Much less iso plays for kyrie as he turns teammates into spectators. Harden knows best how to run the offense out of the 3. They can keep finding mismatches for KD. Kyrie could be a catch and shoot type of player. He could sacrifice his scoring and focus on defense.

Big two KD + Harden > big 3 KD + Harden + Kyrie

That's how you want it to be... Harden's the best passer/playmaker, so he's better off creating open looks for everyone else. I think they'll let Irving shoot more in the RS to keep him engaged/happy and maybe limit some of his possessions in the post-season. Don't expect Warriors/Spurs-like ball-movement from them this season.

Harden was tentative, because I guess he was trying to let kyrie get involved. Kyrie did have some spectacular moves, and got jobbed at the end of the 4th quarter when he was hacked on his way to the basket, but overall it seemed like a only 1 ball but 3 stars want it situation. Didn't feel as natural as it was with just harden and durant... Mostly because Harden is most effective only on very high volume.

They still scored 135 points and started the game 10/10 from the field so the explosive offensive ceiling is there... The problem is defense. They switch everything and end up giving terrible mismatches all over the floor. I saw Harden and Kyrie stuck on Cleveland's big men all game long, while Cleveland guards got to iso the slower nets big men. Its just a disaster. They don't fight through picks or trap or jump lanes... Its just switch everything and let the other team mismatch you to death.

You mean when Kyrie clearly elbowed him in the face? That you Skip? :lol

You didnt watch the game then bro. Refs overturned it after extensive review. It was a textbook reach in foul, swiped hard at the ball, missed and got all body. Of course kyrie ran into him when he throws himself in front and swipes him.

Steve nash and Sean Marks should know what to do. You have 3 superstar scorers and only KD can be borderline elite while Harden can be average.

It looks like Harden is prepared to play distributor role and doesn't care about stats, he just wants to win. They need some Caruso's and Avery bradley type guys on that team. I actually like Bruce Brown.

They also need an athletic 4 that can sometimes slide to the 5.
