Especially against bigger players and centers.

His defence is predicated on his length and athleticism/quickness which is particularly effective against smaller players.

Take away his length advantage and he isn't as impressive, hence why he/coaches are reluctant to match him up against opponents' centers. He then becomes prone to foul trouble.

Like above poster said... lebron is usually the anchor post defender. AD is elite weakside and guarding perimeter drivers but post guys that can score struggle more with lebron

It's only overrated if you thought of him as an impenetrable defensive wall. But he's not a stout, large shot blocker of that type.

He's versatile, long, wirey and athletic and he can defend just about every position. His defensive speed is excellent. He can get from here to there very quickly - a nightmare for an offense.

And his instincts for the ball on the defensive side are impeccable. He is able to surprise offensive players with blocks and steals from distances and strange angles that they never see coming.

Is does not seem like it's about the sport anymore. It seems to stop and end with Lebron which is absurd. There are a lot more watchable players that Lebron. These nuts fixate on stats and stat accumulation like that is comparable to a well executed move that doesn't involve ugly stiff arming or crab walking.
