Yes offense matters also. That's a given. Point is defense is just as important but some players either don't fully embrace this or they just can't.

Nets as currently constructed have zero chance at winning a chip. They just just don't have the defensive pieces.

They have pieces to trade to get there. Joe Harris for a defensive stopper.
HARRIS Sucks defensively, but he is a great shooter who can be serviceable for another defensive team.

Joe is a fine defender, great one actually.

Lowest eFG% allowed as the primary shot defender during crunch time since 18-19, minimum 100 attempts against:

1. Rudy Gobert: 36.6% eFG against
2. Draymond Green: 41.8%
3. Joe Harris: 42.7%
4. Myles Turner: 43.1%
5. Andre Drummond: 43.8%

So what happened in the 2017 Finals

The Cavs tried to beat the Warriors at their own game and got blitzkrieged.

FG% allowed can be an incredibly misleading stat because Joe Harris could be mostly guarding 3pt shots in which case 42.7% is terrible!

Trade him and kyrie for some rebounding and defense and nets have a chance. They can't win as is. People who actually played and understand the game can see this. Not surprised you can't.

You dont have the slightest clue what youre talking about when it comes to Joe Harris

You've seen maybe 20 minutes of him

You never watched the Nets before this year

I can't think of the last bad defensive team to win the title. The worst title winning team of the past 30 years I think was the 2016 Cavs... who still ranked top 10.

Bad offenses have won more than bad defenses.

Joe harris is not a good defender wtf are you talking about? I've watched plenty of nets games He gets used on a regular. And if the eye test isn't enough for you he has a drtg of an amazing 115 and he gets about .5 steals and .3 blocks a game. Great my ass. Your easily one of the worst posters on this mf :facepalm

Right im a retard but you think harris is a great defender and you think nets can win a chip with one of the worst defenses in the league. Your an idiot dude. They'll be lucky to even get to the finals and if they somehow manage they'll get curb stomped from either L.A team.
