If Godzilla defeats Kong, I could go for a Godzilla vs Mecha-Godzilla movie. But there are two versions of MechaGodzilla, one is man made and the other is extra terrestrial. The Alien created UFO MechaGodzilla would probably be a better fit for this storyline.

Maybe Mecha-Godzilla isn't what we think he would look like. Maybe the Godzilla in the trailers fighting Kong isn't actually him, but Mecha-Godzilla, which is why he's "provoked" maybe Mecha-Godzilla has Kong down for the count about to kill him, then the real Godzilla comes in to save the day.

Just some thoughts. Either way, it's nice to know we only have to wait 2 months for it. Even though we've technically waited over a year since the teaser images.

Never thought of that but thats a pretty good theory still I dont think the mecha godzilla is swimming in the ocean and has atomic breath. We do know for sure mecha godzilla is in the movie.

I just remember being promised that one of them would be a clear cut winner.

And the movie poster even says: One Will Fall.

but I don't really see Godzilla coming out of this with a victory because it's the villain in this situation.

So... based on the trailer, Godzilla is the clear cut underdog going into this match up.

It will be a very historic cinematic upset if Kong loses this fight... I'd be shocked if it happened.

Godzilla should be the unanimous winner head to head but I could see why Kong would be the winner in this story. I’m definitely going to watch it besides the cheesy lines and catch phrases by the ‘humans’. Hoping they tag team and get some crazy visuals going for this movie.

We saw the movie last weekend, theaters down here still doing that limited capacity seating so I literally was sitting by myself while my wife and kids were seated a row from me :facepalm We got to get back to normal some day folks, this shit is now beyond ridiculous. Anyways I digress, I slept through half of the movie but from what I did watch, the movie left me shaking with rage because of racism...the only two Mexican actors in this movie (Damien Bichir and Eiza Gonzalez, father and daughter in the movie) played villains and were killed unceremoniously:mad:

Obviously I'm joking, fight scenes were cool and my kids loved the movie.

Real quick non spoiler review

You watch these movies for action not for amazing acting and writing so the fights in this are amazing.Godzilla has a crocodile stance scene that is badass also get a king kong shoving his axe down godzillas throat kinda like the original. The first battle in the ocean is great the battle in Hong Kong is great and the final battle is sick.Action 8/10 maybe 9/10

The acting is bad and the writing is goddamn horrible so many awful annoying characters that dont do shit in the movie. Kong ,the little girl and her adopted mother are the only decent part of the story.

3/10 story and acting

Eiza gonzalez is in the movie her character is bad and her acting is bad but goddamn is she hot. The scene where shes all wet yup yup yup.

Just saw it. Kong's a ****ing legend man, I don't know how but he needs to be in more movies. I love that ape.

Godzilla beat him fair n square.

Why were all of the Spanish characters evil in this movie and the white people heroic? Weird. Gonzalez was stupid and annoying. Total turn off.

Anyways I don't know about Kong's origin habitat and making him kind of alien. That was weird but at least it was an attempt at expanding his mythos.

Yeah the fighting was top notch savagery. A plus.

It was fun. Didn't expect there to be some hollow world underneath the surface (at least liveable), but hey this is a fictional universe :lol I don't expect great plot, but I saw it in theaters on the first day my local theater opened back up and enjoyed it. Best believe I'm going there as often as I can go (with my mask on of course) :banana:

This was my first movie theater experience in almost 2 years. It was a good film to go back to the theater to see. It's definitely more cartoony than Godzilla or King of the Monsters, but I think this helps open the movie to more viewers. I did miss some perspective shots like in Godzilla and King of the Monsters where they took human perspective shots to show the actual scale of the monsters.

It didn't pretend to be anything it wasn't meant to. The human aspect is less apparent in this movie versus the other 3 before it (which is good), and they are only there to get you from point A to point B with the titans.

My favorite part of the fights was when Kong snatches the axe out of the building without even looking at it, all bad ass like then stuffs the handle down Godzilla's throat stopping his atomic breath. Loved that call back and badassery.
