Asked by @seeratsohi, Steve Nash says he’s confident in James Harden’s ability to defend big men, and that he’ll need to do that more often in the Nets’ switching defense.

Steve Nash officially lost his head, if he had any, to begin with.

Nash is just trying to motivate Harden to do better because should be capable with his size and strength.

I’m sure that’s related to the often posted stats on Hardens post defense which obviously ignores that it isn’t 1993 and nobody posts up anymore.

Plus it takes us back to the old Lebron guarding 5 positions thing. It only sounds wrong till you count the stretch bigs and athletic scrubs who won’t get the ball anyway.

This. Sure he can guard Marcus Morris in the post. Heck even someone like Kevin Love who is washed and not much of a back to the basket post player anyways. He ain't guarding someone actually big and competent like AD or Embiid.

It sound's like they want Harden to be more do it all guy which is what he was in OKC.

People forget that Harden in OKC was the defacto PG, and also defended the teams best players.

The 1-5 LeBron thing was never about him actually playing a 5 full time, it was about being able to switch a few times in the game and not give up much in that matchup

If Nash has a plan of playing Harden as a fulltime PF or something like that he is an idiot

Harden's not going to change. He's a one-trick pony type of player.
