He seems A shell of his former self. He's stumbling around the court looks confused and has A defeated look in his eyes. Either he is injured or he is losing Athleticism and knows it. His body isn't really built for the high level of Athleticism that he plays at. Everyone makes that observation about him. I question his longevity with his style of play.

What are the lakers, 12-5 while cruising? They already gel, just waiting for the playoffs to come. This has been the shortest off season in nba history no?

Doesn't seem like he came into the season in a proper frame of mind. His effort, especially defensively, has been poor. And with his offense struggling too, it seems like he gets down on himself fast. I haven't heard about an injury, so it's probably just a combination of short-offseason leading to sub-par effort and a body struggling due to lack of rest.

I think his jumper was so automatic at times during the run that now he's not all the way in rhythm yet, he looks alot worse. New team dynamics to adjust to and all as well.. As long as he finds his shot by the playoffs he'll be fine

Looks like he's cruising. I would be worried if he's like this in the middle of the post season.

Literally nothing. He is still coasting. Remember the Lakers had an extremely short offseason. Look how the Heat are struggling/battling injuries.
Also, fitting in Gasol/Schroeder in the starting lineup means AD gets less touches, especially in the first quarter. Last year Lebron ran the point to perfection which allowed AD to get his touches whenever he wanted. AD is a guy who is more aggressive if he is involved a lot early on.
AD is still just as good as last year, but doesn't need to do as much right now. He will dominate again come playoff time if he is healthy.
He is shooting a career low in free throw percentage. Something is going on, and mere "costing" can't explain it.

My theory holds. AD has turned passive. He's not diminished in potential but somehow has become complacent. I know it will be different in the playoffs but the drop in numbers we are seeing now is noticeable.

I'm not sure about the distribution of his misses, but there's a possibility that he's had an an injury at one point which made him miss more, or even throughout the season.
Another possibility is that he's not in great shape due to the schedule since the bubble, resulting in a higher heart rate and making shooting harder.
Just some thoughts.

He's too injury prone. There's no precedent for sustainable durability for an oversized 7-foot guard masquerading as a 4 and falling all over the court. Moreover, he twists and turns just a get a shot off. His knees buckle sometimes when he goes up for a dunk. And while he's not a toothpick anymore, he's still not strong enough to consistently get in his preferred position on offense in rhythm without the quickness he used to have. This has been happening but I think now it's just more glaring now that he knows he's going to be the future centerpiece of a championship-asperation Laker team, and he hasn't truly developed the strength to smoothly transition into the backside of his career.

LeBron took his powers
I assumed people would say that. They always to when A player declines. I suppose it would seem that way way when players are juxtaposed with LeBron who is unusually durable. It takes A lot to be A champion and I don't think most people can hang with LeBron on that level. Listen to any champion and they'll tell you it takes A lot out of you. I don't think LeBron should be "blamed" but maybe his standards, drive and ability to draw the most out of people does use them up. That's the catch 22. All these guys could go to another team and fail to make the playoffs or get eliminated in the first round, or they can play with LeBron and get A ring. It comes at A cost for most guys though. Most players are not as durable as LeBron. Most players cannot carry A team to the finals 10 years or even tag along and stay healthy and not decline. The LeBron blame is actually more of A credit to LeBron's durability in my opinion.

That's like saying a 27-year-old Shaq is putting up prime Zo numbers and asking for more is asking too much. You'd want Shaq to be Shaq just like you'd want AD to be AD.

I could've sworn the Lakers had an Anthony Davis on their roster who played with LeBron last season. And that Anthony Davis was twice the player this one is.

Perhaps he got his ring and fat contract and all of that was such a relief for him that he's lacking the same motivation as before. That would be understandable.

LeBron and Klutch are giving him extra dosage of estrogen in his pills to build Lebrons own MVP case. Typical underhanded agenda driven Bron shit
I'm sure he'll ramp up the test for AD in the playoffs once he needs him to carry the team and win
If Davis doesn't play his MVP caliber style game, no championship for Hype job James.

I'm wondering if you have a good grasp on English or if you just like to hear yourself sound authoritative.
I was comparing the difference between Shaq and Zo to the difference between AD and Pau in order to highlight AD's struggles so far the season, not comparing Shaq's and AD's games, stats, or impacts directly.

He's a woman!
He laid down for CryBron!
"This is your team...FOR ME TO POOP ON."
He's a stud and should be fighting for the MVP Award, year-in/year-out!
That woman CryBron is outscoring AD and he's not going to let AD take over. As a matter of fact, AD will never be the leader of
this team, once CryBron decides to retire he will make sure that his untalented son aka Jaden Smith takes over the Lakers and becomes
the face of the team!
