How many (or which) games have you paid to see live? I have been to eight games. I haven't attended an NBA game since 2008. I've never seen a Finals game.

I was rather disappointed with my seat selection for the 2008 game, so I didn't bother seeing another.

I've been to four NBA games. First one was Nets vs the pistons in '03 or '04 at the Meadowlands Arena. These were very close seats too. One vs the Hawks all the way up top, one vs the Knicks after they got Melo at the Prudential center, and one in the 2011 season vs the Mavericks. I remember that outcome too because Dirk hit a gamewinner vs us and Brook Lopez choked. It was like I got a glimpse of what he was going to do in the playoffs live.

I have been to 4. Milwaukee Bucks @ Vancouver Grizzlies back in 1998/1999 I think. I was quite young at the time. Cavaliers @ Raptors pre-season in 2015/16 (if this counts). Rockets @ Trail Blazers in 2017/18, Lakers @ Trail Blazers in 2018/19

Over the years I had been to like 4 games my whole life. For honestly no reason whatsoever I decided during the 18/19 season to attend as many games as possible, I ended up going to 11. Definitely put a dent in my wallet, but with the pandemic hitting immediately afterward and with attending games in person looking like it's still a while away, I'm definitely glad I did it :lol

Spent most of my life in Ohio, think I've been to 7 games... random playoff game in the 90s against the Pacers I think that I don't really remember, '08-10 Cavs/Lakers, Bran's first game back in Cleveland after taking his talents to South beach, Cavs/Mavs in 2012, and Cavs/Pistons game 2 first round 2016.

Maybe 10, my 1st game was Barkley's last game in Houston. I can't remember every game but in the sometimes Tmac, sometimes Yao era I saw the pre big 3 pierce Celtics and Boguts Bucks. Harden era I saw Dwades Heat post big 3. Westbrook and Durants Okc. Lebrons Cavs in 2016 and a few teams no one cared about in between.

Too many to count

Cleveland LeBron

Love on the Timberwolves vs Cousins (Sac Kings)

Miami LeBron vs Warriors
Cleveland vs Kings (couple of times)
Cleveland Finals in 2018, game 3
Lakers a bunch of times, and so on and so forth

I've been every-where man!

About a half dozen.

First was at old Cleveland Coliseum watching World B. Free take on the original Twin Towers.

Most memorable was game 4 of the 2016 Finals. Was in a suite through work relations, so I didnt pay for tix. Curry went off to put GS up 3-1

Probably won't believe me but the elevator door opens up and there's Steph's family. Mom, Dad, wife and youngest daughter (can't remember her name) and others. Neither of us said anything.... door opened 5 seconds later, we walked out and tripped out to each other once we got outside.

WTF are live games? Please tell me about them?

Only once. I was more of a football fan growing up so I attended mostly Cowboys and Falcons games. Went to see Brett Farve play too and of course I had to catch Michael Vick live and in person. Simply electrifying. And don't get me started on Prime Time. Deion Sanders always had a highlight play.

The one NBA game I attended was way back when I visited home. I can't remember the year nor the day, just that Nique dropped like 55 against MJ and the Bulls. He completely destroyed them. I'll try and find it.

Edit: Found it. Over a million views....amazing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_hZauN4m9d0&pbjreload=101

Yep now I remember. I was in my freshman year of college on break. Just so happened that my uncle at the time had tickets to watch MJ play against the Hawks. I bet that Nique would score more, he said MJ. First and last time betting against MJ got me something aside from the playoffs against the Pistons. Good times. Wow time just seems to fly away. Where does it all go?

I've seen Bron three times. All three times he was playing for Miami with Wade and Bosh. I've seen him twice in Toronto and once in Miami.

I also saw Melo ball (Carmelo Anthony) in Montreal as a Knick vs the Raptors. That happened to be the first time to see Chris Boucher in action.

I have met Nick Nurse at the Cbana pool l bar in Toronto during Caribana, in 2019. After the Raptors won that championship.
One of the greatest experience in my entire existence. I told him that day to play Boucher more. We laughed and me and my friends we thanked him for bringing the championship home. He is a great person by the way nothing bad to say about him. You see him in my aVy, I am a huge fan.

I've been to a ton of Celtics games. G1,2 & 5 of the Bulls series in 09. Also went to G1 of the Magic in 09 also. Went to G3 of the 2010 Finals. Ray Allen decided to shoot 0-13 that night. :facepalm

I usually try and make a couple regular season games and maybe a playoff game or two.

Seen LeBron a bunch in person when he'd come to Boston.

Sat right behind Mike & Tommy vs Portland back in 2015. It's very different watching up close where you can hear everything, especially when the crowd goes into a frenzy.

Mom & Dad finally took you to a nosebleed twolves game huh?

I've been to a lot, probably 50-60 clippers games and maybe half that laker games.
Clipper games in the mid 2000s could be had for 5-10 bucks by scalpers if you were just hanging out and had nothing to do.

Funny to see how many haven’t been to many games but talk oh so much.

But why would you think attending games in person makes you more knowledgeable on basketball? Sitting in the mid to nosebleed sections doesn't give you a better perspective of the game... Courtside might... but nobody here is baller enough to afford that at any type of high volume. You can see things far clearer on a HD TV than you can from up in the rafters.

I thought more people that seemed like fans that actually live in their teams city would attend games more..

Closest I got was about 8 rows back mid court at New Orleans game, got to see boogie and ad push towns’ shit in:lol
All the other stadiums were much cheaper than LA and NY, obviously tourist hubs.

I've seen 2 NBA Finals games live - 2013 game 1 (the one with Parker's game winner under Lebron) and 2014 game 1 (the lack of AC game - I was 8 rows from the ceiling - thought I was having hot flashes).

Have seen quite a few Spurs-Heat RS games and one non-Spurs/Heat (can't even remember what team it was - can't complain as the tixs were gifted) game at court side (right next to the area where Pat Riley and Alonzo Mourning were sitting). My then 10 year old son said, "Mom, I feel SO privileged" (to sit so close to Riley/Mourning and so close to the court) - it's a WAY different feeling than up in the boonies.

I've lost count. A lot. The best game I've seen live was a thrilling late comeback by the then Seattle SuperSonics when I was courtside.

You don’t know who posts here who could afford it. Also it’s not nosebleed or court side seats and that’s it. Plenty of seats closer to the court one can afford. Sitting court issue doesn’t give you any more of a better perspective than sitting in the 100-200 section or clubhouse. Where do you think scouts and GM sit? Why do they even attend games since tv offers a much better perspective? That’s silly talk. I find it funny how folks are gung ho to defend their team but haven’t supported them. But I guess just studying stats for a living gives you a better idea of what you’re arguing than factoring in the eye test. But what do I know.

More than ten, but less than thirty. The game I was most excited about was seeing Shaq and Kobe in the late 90's.

0.

That's my dream, one day to come to USA and watch playoff games.

But every year I work more and more, kids take more and more time, dollar gets more expensive relative to our money and it really seems like this dream will never come true.
