Both are among the most impressive ever. Who do you got?

Kawhi's run was better. The series performance vs 76ers was a way bigger carry job then any playoff series from Wade in the east conference. Shaq was still putting up just about 20 & 10 numbers in the 2nd and 3rd rounds. Kawhi also had to bail his team out with a game 7 game winner vs 76ers, while Wade wasn't even the heats best player in the close out game vs pistons as that was when Shaq took over.
Then in the finals, Avery Johnson choose to double team Shaq a lot. So Shaq was still getting a lot more attention then any of Kawhi's teammates. Finals and entire playoffs, nobody on raptors was ever double teamed besides Kawhi.
Then defensively, kawhi had to guard Giannis during the 4 game winning streak. Kawhi also guarded Jimmy Butler in the game 7. I didn't see that type of defensive responsibility from Wade.
So overall, just a bigger carry job from Kawhi on both ends.

wade was finishing over 2 seven footers while being doubled on the perimeter and being hacked way more than people give him credit for.

Shocked you went with Kawhi tbh
Wade easily. Kawhi was on a team that could win 55+ without him.

You're talking about that game 6? When they were already up 3-1. Playing at home. And won by 20.

Also funny how there's no mention of the closeout game of the Finals where Kawhi wasn't even the Raptors best or 2nd best player

Priot to 2006, Shaq was the best player in the last 4\6 finals.
Prior to 2019, Siakam was the G league finals MVP.
This one is close hahahahaha

I take Wade. Especially when factoring in the KD and Klay injuries. It's not close imo.

Kawhi had the much better eastern conference finals run was my point. Then in the finals, he beat a much better team as Curry\Dray were proven champions and Dirk\Josh never won anything. Then Klay was also playing for 3\4 wins besides 1 quarter.

You better never watch the 2016 Lebron title run then. Only reason Lebron won was because their defensive god Draymond Green was out and Lebron\Irving exploded offensively on the road in game 5 (a road closeout game they would of lost with Draymond playing).
Kawhi beat Curry\Klay\Dray with Klay missing 1 quarter (they won without Klay in game 2)
Lebron beat Curry\Klay\Dray with Dray missed 1 game

Stopped reading after the first sentence. This thread is about Wade and your hero.

ECF is definitely debatable, all I'll say is Wade carving up a historic defense to the tune of 27/6/5 on 62% from the field, including an astronomical 31 ppg on 70% to take command of the series in the first 4 games is enough for me to give him the nod.
The Finals is just not even close bro. Wade will always have his skeptics over the amount of FT's that he took in that series, but the vast majority of people would pick Wade's Finals over Kawhi's

Where is Ward's 2nd round carry job though? He beat an easy ass Kidd team. Kawhi had to beat Butler/Embiid. Also Shaq was still putting up big numbers in 2nd round, while kawhi had no help.
As far as the finals, wade was an unknown and Shaq was the best player of the last 4/6 finals. So the game plan was just as much for Shaq, if not more. Kawhi never had the luxury, he was the only player that was consistently double teamed in the finals and through out playoffs.

Finals: kawhi- 122 offensive rating
Wade - 113 offensive rating
And kawhi was going against Draymond.
Wade just got a lot more freethrows

2006 aggregate average PPG - 92.3
2019 aggregate average PPG - 108.6
Still want to pull at the offensive rating thread?

Haven't ya heard? 2019 sixers are the warriors of the east. They surely are stacked af than any other team kawhi has ever faced in the postseason. :lol

It's very tough to choose. I'm obviously inclined to be biased towards Kawhi but Wade also carried an enormous load and his Finals was GOAT-level, no exaggeration. Also worth noting that Wade's era had lower league wide efficiency and pace. It was easier to put up number in 2019 compared to 2006. That Heat also wasn't very good, easily one of the worst teams to win a championship in the last 20 years. After Shaq who was on the decline they had Antoine Walker as a 3rd option and a bunch of decent role players like Haslem, Payton, Mourning, Posey. Wade really carried them. Kawhi's argument is that he had to carry more from Round 2 onwards and he's a better defender than Wade. And also that the Raptors didn't have a winning culture whereas Miami had Shaq and Pat Riley to at least show them how to win.

Yes. Miami had veteran pat riley in '06 and when he was 60, already coached different teams to their respective rings four times already prior to winning his fifth in south beach, whereas in toronto nick nurse was a freshman but inherited a revamped raptors team that got 1x fmvp kawhi a month after his promotion.

Kawhi had an established team behind him while Wade outside of a still allstar level Shaq had to rely on newly acquired past prime versions of Antoine Walker, Jason Williams and an ancient Gary Payton in order to win. That cast played great at the right time but Wade needed to perform at an insane level for them to win.
