Since Kyrie and Harden have been playing together

Kyrie: 16, 24, 28 = 68 fga
Harden: 14, 14, 14 = 42 fga

Kyrie is averaging 23 fga per game, Harden is averaging 14 fga per game.

Wow.

Harden's the point guard, don't see an issue here. They have no problems scoring.

Kyrie is the MVP killer.

No titles iwll be won playing Kyrie ball. KD and Harden need to be the 1 and 2 options for this to work.

There's three things in order.

1) Kyrie is a better scorer than Harden. He has a more diverse skill set, and is more productive with a pure scoring mindset.

2) Harden is a master dribbler and set up guy. He's like Magic Johnson with a beard.

3) ... I forgot what I was going to say...

Kyrie would be useless if he wasn't at least #2 in regards to shooting though. He's not a good defender, and he needs to be shooting to do.. something. You have KD and Kyrie taking the most shots and Harden conserving energy to play 'some' D and create, which he's one of the best in the league at.

I hate to say I told you so.

...and people actually thought Kyrie was going to accept being a third option...

We'll see how long before KD and Harden turn against him. Certainly if it doesn't happen during the season it will happen in the offseason.

Harden is one of the greatest scorers of all time - ever - an MVP, 3x scoring champ, and basically the type of all time great player Kyrie Irving will never be, and Kyrie won't let him be that because of his ego.

It's really, really dumb.

If Kyrie was smarter he would be playing point guard.

If Kyrie was a better leader he would be playing point guard.

If Kyrie was a better player he would be playing point guard.

I'll be keeping a Kyrie/Harden FGA tracking thread. Light said it best, "Harden is one of the greatest scorers of all time - ever - an MVP, 3x scoring champ, and basically the type of all time great player Kyrie Irving will never be, and Kyrie won't let him be that because of his ego.

Games: 3

FGA (by the game)

Kyrie: 28, 24, 16 = 68 fga (AVG: 22.7 fga per game)
Harden: 14, 14, 14 = 42 fga (AVG: 14.0 fga per game)

Kyrie is averaging 22.7 fga per game, Harden is averaging 14 fga per game.

Will Kyrie stop being a douche and let the Nets win? Or will Harden be force into a 3rd option?

Harden is averaging 12.5 fga per game.

This thread is retarded.

Harden is choosing to play passive. It's on him. It has nothing to do with Kyrie.

FGA (by the game)

Kyrie: 28, 24, 16, 12, 28 = 108 fga
Harden: 14, 14, 14, 8, 14 = 64 fga

Kyrie is averaging 21.6 fga per game
Harden is averaging 12.8 fga per game.

Yikes. Not good. Kyrie is taking 69% more FGA per game than Harden. Kyrie will kill the Nets if he keeps this up, mark my word.

But Harden is controlling the possessions. He essentially become Steve Nash. Nash had 3-4 guys take more FGA but we know he ran the show. So did Magic.

FGA means nothing in this case. It's who run the show.

But he has to though. If Kyrie is not shooting, he is literally worthless on the court. Harden is one of the best playmakers in the league, he has to create more than shoot and let the other two scorers take shots. Kyrie just needs to know when not to overdo it.
