Cannot attack rim,no speed no power.

Gets his score with threes, jumpshots.

Yeah 36 year old player who’s in his 18th season has trouble exploding. Shocker.

Who's acting shocked. I'm just stating the reality of his game today. And that's a guy with no driving or finishing game.

Did you see the first basket of the day today, between the Lakers and the Celtics?

Everyone else in history at this stage of their careers: Utter garbage compared to LeBron at this stage of his career. Or retired years ago.

lol. I've heard that every year since 2010.

Boston was zoning up a lot in this game, preventing drives - and they doubled LeBron a lot, more than any other team this year - but LeBron's last drive against them was like he was shot out of a cannon.

Basically what's going on right now is there is no good option if you have to choose between LeBron driving and LeBron shooting.

Look at LeBron's shot chart:

Still feasting inside - shooting 71% at the rim.

he set up a new the playoffs 2-point % record 4 months ago

he can still do it but it takes a lot out of him so there is no point to doing it in RS

It's funny that after all these years people still can't comprehend that LeBron doesn't go full-speed until late regular-season/playoffs.

Like how many more examples do you need?

Yeah. Only Kareem and Karl Malone played this good at 36. But LeBron has more seasons, but 36 is still 36 in basketball.

LeBron isn't even a jumpshooter, but he is feeling it from the outside right now. His best of shooting display is still with Miami in 13. From a combination of midrange, 3pt shot, and FTs.

And as other ppl said, LeBron goes hard in the postseason.

Lebron will get shut down in the playoffs once the following word gets out:

Lebron won't shoot if the defender is within 2 feet - this is statistical fact - he has zero jumpshots when the defender is within 2 feet and avoids contested jumpers... In previous years, lebron simply stiff-arms his way to the rim when this happens (when the defender is too close).. Nowadays, he can't get past the defender and is forced to pass or have a stumbling, failed drive attempt.. However, defenses in the regular season are letting him take open jumpers or weakly contested but this won't happen in the playoffs - defenders will be draped all over him... Ultimately, his inability to attempt or make tightly contested jumpers will destroy him in the playoffs

so I expect the refs to make his free throws go up dramatically

when is the nba gonna stop propping up this guy? He's 36, they need a new super star soon and they haven't propped up anyone in comparison to what they allow him to do.

It's sad because lebron's "lull the defense to sleep and take an open jumper" isn't good basketball

But as usual, Lebron has the extra supporting talent needed to offset his suboptimal brand.. in previous years, he had a big 3, and this time he has a teammate to lead in defense and offense (ppg)..

he's infact carried on both ends - imagine having a dpoy candidate teammate who also leads the league in playoff points

Like how the refs made MJ' s FTA go up?

The 1997-98 season, he avg. 8.8FTA, the highest since his 87-88 season.

But Jordan never had a DPOY-caliber teammate that also led the league in playoff scoring, aka carried on both ends

jordan infact was that guy (top 5 DPOY and scoring champ from 88-98'.. that's goat longevity at the top level, aka dpoy candidate and scoring champ)

Doesn't change the fact that Stern made sure MJ got to the line to make up for his faded athleticism.

ye probably something like that, but the refs would actually call fouls on jordan is the difference.

sure jordan would bitch and whine like no other sometimes, but often times he had a case for it. You can see jordan pointing to a ref saying good call as well when the refs called fouls on him at times, something you will NEVER see with lebronze. If bronze could admit he makes mistakes he'd be more bearable in this regard, but he's insufferable and you know it.

Did you watch that season? Pippen missed the first 38 games. During that time, teams were regularly double and triple teaming MJ. He averaged 9.5 FTA without Pippen and 8.1 FTA with him. It's only natural that he drew more fouls when being surrounded by more defenders.

In addition, look at his shot attempts. In the 1996-97 season, Jordan had 25% of his field goal attempts from within 10 feet of the basket. In the 1997-98 season, that number rises to 33%. Add that to the fact that Jordan's 3 pt attempts dropped significantly, and it makes sense as to why he saw a rise in his FTA.

Had nothing to do with Stern. Jordan wasn't Shaq.
