Think we sometimes forget that Philly actually started out 20-7 with an SRS of 5 or so.

Right now they're 15-6 with an SRS of 3. They'll probably be 19-8 given who they're playing in the next 6.

Both teams have had its important players miss similar amounts. Embiid has missed 5 games so far, 21 games into this season. Tobias 3 games. Ben 2. Seth 7.

Last season -- 24 games in -- Embiid had missed 5 as well. Josh Richardson had missed 8 games. Ben Simmons 2. Tobias Harris 2.

Both teams had important players miss similar amounts of time. Given this, it appears to me last year's team started the season better.

Funny how our perception of that team is of a failure... Suprisingly they were actually on pace for 60.7 wins, nearly 30 games into the 82 game season.

And then when u watch the games of both last season and this season you can clearly tell this season team plays better.

I know that they blew out the Lakers last season at home. This season they barely beat them, only because of a mind-numbingly stupid defensive lineup by the Lakers/Vogel on the last possesion.

And then you watch them in the playoffs and they get bounced by a mediocre team like the Celtics year after year

Barely? Sixers controlled most of the game.

The difference is that Embiid looks a lot better this season. He's playing at an MVP-level while last season he was really inconsistent, had that 0 pt game against the Raptors early in the season & just didn't look as engaged. Curry and Green fit well and I'll take Doc over Brett Brown any day of the week.

The 76ers have only lost 3 games at the Wells Fargo Center since the 2018-19 Eastern Conference Semi Finals vs Toronto (May 2019).

They were undefeated at home for the whole calander year of 2020 (both this season and last season).

The difference is they are actually winning some road games now.

I don't think the difference in the team should be understated however.

The are undefeated (11-0) when both Seth Curry and Joel Embiid both play.

When butler was playing for them in 2019, they were actually stacked to the point that they were the warriors of the east. So when kawhi and the raptors overpowered them in game 7 of the 2019 ecsf, it was very big feat back then.
