So the 2019 championship Raptors had Kawhi, Lowry, Siakam, Gasol, and this guy. 5 guys who at one time or another could claim to have been the best player on an NBA team. Interesting.

The 2010 Cavs had Shaq, Lebron, Jamison all of which where the best on the team at one time. The 2013 Heat had Lebron, Wade, Bosh, Ray Allen, Rashard Lewis all of which were the best players on teams.

Every single player at the Raptors became better after Kawhi's arrival in 2018. A trash bro became a champion. G leaguers like Van Vleet and Siakam became NBA stars. Ibaka and Danny Green rejuvenated their careers. Just that confidence boost to the franchise will impact them positively for years. That's how you should leave a franchise imo.

Crazy to think about. And in the championship-clinching game 6 of the finals, he was the third best player on the Raptors. After Lowry and Siakam.

Not like they aren't blitzing him out there. The man has range for days. Even Curry gave him props in the 2019 NBA Final.

Plus, he gives you 100% effort on defense. He is a baller and y'all are missing out.

VanFleet has zero career dunks

Otoh, doc rivers did this routinely:

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=XLDGm8pV6uU&t=07m07s

better athletes today doh...... today's 3-point shooters = lesser athletes... and Van Fleet would be guarding Jordan lol.. bum league

Great game though and VanFleet is good player.. similar to Andre Miller a little bit, except less pure scoring and more threes

Better athletes like (Russ, Lillard, LaVine, Beal, Mitchell) the clip you showed me of Doc Rivers dunking is so weak, you should be ashamed. Today's players are more skilled and better at shooting the basketball.

Also, idiot, LeBron is bigger, stronger, faster than MJ. He is as big as Barkley and is shaped like Karl Malone. Ok, that guy won't survive in the 90s? Is that what you saying? Bro, you are of your mind.

the Doc Rivers "and1" dunk is better than Van Fat never dunking

Athleticism isn't needed in today's league if a fat doughboy like Van Fleet can drop 55 by hitting threes

And Russ, Lillard, and Mitchell are only 6'3" !!!!!... while LaVine or Beal are too weak and finesse-oriented.. Beal is small compared to the bigger 2-guards in the 80's like Drexler, Dale Ellis, Miller or Reggie Theus

Ultimately, there's so many 3-point bums, aka soft, crappy athletes like VanFleet, Klay, and Curry that would be assigned to Jordan.. lol... FIFTY ! (every night)

In the 90s hed easily be top 5. Probably number 1

The raptors have a winning record with Kawhi out of the lineup. I don't know what you are talking about, fool!

It's called "GRINDING" you gotta be a hater to not respect that. No one was willing to give them a chance but look at them now? Making a name for themselves after not being drafted and dominating the G league. Give the Raptors organization props (we found another one in Yuta Watanabe). Have you heard about him? Oh Kawhi made him better too?

Oh ok then!

Kawhi has nothing to do with our success. If anything he got carried to a ring.

I know It hurts you that much to see a midget dominating the NBA. The same way you think the league is soft for not being able to defend a midget like Vanvleet, the league was soft as well back then, for allowing Bird to win 3 MVPs in a row.

Yeah, in order to prove it wasn't a fluke he should be able to score 50 on 70% every game.

I'm not even going to defend the 80s and 90s. I think the best balance of basketball was early 2000s. But peak Bird would still win a number of MVPs in this era.

That is the best balance for you? The "whichever team has Shaq wins" era? Shaq was like a kid in a candy store during that era. There was nobody in the league remotely close to stopping him. One of the most unbalanced eras ever.
