The 09' Cavs had the #3 defense, so Jordan would've won with those Cavs because he never lost with a top 5 defense and could carry the offensive load ..

So he would've beaten the Magic just like he beat other top teams with shit offense from Pippen ("Mo Williams" offense).

Specifically, he frequently beat top 5 SRS teams and Finals teams with "Mo Williams" stats from Pippen - see the 96' Finals, 98' Finals, 98' ECF, 97' ECF, or 89' 1st Round...

Otoh, lebron never beat a top 5 SRS team or Finals team with poor scoring and efficiency from a sidekick (no carry-jobs against good teams in 20 years of playing)

MJ would've beaten the Mavericks in 2011 as well as the Warriors in 2015, also could've taken the 2017-2018 Warriors to 6-7 games. Though an interesting question is, the Warriors wouldnt have won in 2015 then how could they attract KD? Without KD they aint the superteam in 2017-2019. Then you understand that MJ would've easily 5-peat from 2015 to 2019.

The problem there is that the Cavs defense was built around LeBron's 1-through-5 defensive versatility which Jordan did not have.

Jordan would've needed Pippen's defensive versatility in order for that Cavs team to have such a highly rated defense because LeBron was absolutely everywhere.

LeBron came in 2nd in Defensive Player of the Year in 2009 right behind Dwight.
LeBron's Defensive Rating in 2009 was 99.
Jordan never had a Defensive Rating below 100.
