A lack of defense continues to be a problem that has infuriated me beyond extent. 67 points allowed to the Raptors in the first half. Another game where the opposing team is on pace to score 140 points. Every aspect of this teams defense is beyond abysmal. I honestly don't get why they have to be THIS bad on defense. If the Nets could only put fourth effort on that end of the floor they literally would never lose a game...

Certain teams play at a pace and the Nets play at an unbelievable pace which means more possessions not only for you but the other team too. So in essence they're playing a completely different game than everyone else. The question should be can they get timely stops.

I am still baffled how Kyrie & Harden could not overcome the double-team blitz from the Raptors. Every time the Raptors doubled them, they were deeply flustered and made poor decisions. Kyrie with 7 turnovers and just 15 points, easily his worst performance of the season and possible as a Net. Again, I am baffled how MVP-caliber players can't overcome a double. Double-teaming Kyrie or Harden you would think would be the worst mistake ever but it worked out well for the Raptors...

They need a thibs type to reach their potential. Offense is mostly talent based, but defense is about scheming. You have to analyze the opponents weaknesses and attack them.... dantoni and nash don't have the mindset to be defensive tacticians.
