draymond emphasizing how important he feels his role to set screens for stephen curry is

as we all know, stephen curry doesn't have any signature move sets to distance himself from defenders and find a clean look. the warriors system revolves around stephen curry running behind screen after screen until finally feeling comfortable to take a shot.
So it seems without some vital defensive tricks from draymond 'donkey' green, stephen curry is not able to chuck tons of 3s with impunity as much as possible. That's why the donkey also has to be there if lil' chef dingo wants to win games during the playoffs.

This kind of proves Draymond's bball IQ in a roundabout way because stats for this already exist - they're called Screen Assists and Screen Assist Points - but he is unaware of it so he's recognized its value independently.
Bravo for Draymond for being kind of smart but still somewhat ignorant.
Unfortunately he does not also rank highly in Screen Assists. He averages 1.7 Screen Assists per game for 4.3 points, which is 3rd on the Warriors after Looney (7.5 pts) and Wiseman (5.0 pts). It is respectable though.

He had the highest offensive rating without any starters and the bench scrubs 2 years ago during regular season but ok.

I am very surprised Wiseman is doing as well as he is. That's kind of shocking to be honest and very impressive. :applause:

Honestly bruh everyone is crushing screens right now. Either to get a good look or get a switch on a worse defender. Steph definitely gets more than most though

Well yes but i was talking about playoffs too

Draymond "I view moving screens* like I view assists."
Fixed the title for you....
As no one sets more moving screens in NBA history than Draymond Green except for his prized pupil Zaza "The Moving Wall" Pachulia.

Dray had 15 dimes last night.
Holy shit. But he went 0-2 scoring. 2 shots? This guy is like PF version of Rondo.

Imagine...needing good players for a team to win...:cletus:
Any coach/GM would be stupid not to have a good screener on a squad with shooters as gifted as Steph and Klay. That's why you utilize a Draymond, Bogit, or Zaza or anyone else with at least two pennies for a brain and a big enough body. Plus a motion offense to keep defenders tired.
No I mean really... you think Ray Allen just chucked it on some ISO pet play?? Reggie?? No bro. You get good shooters open. That's called offense. Even the Bulls had that play for elbow jumpers for Michael.
Nah for real... what actually good team doesn't use screens to get their best shooters open? Who does that? AND1?

When you lead the league in it on a top 5 offense why wouldn't you say it?
