And if they would have brought Steph in sooner, he would have easily got 60 to 65. Steph can easily get more 50 point games this season. If he wasn't so unselfish, he could score even more.

When they had the opportunity to give him one they decided instead to give it to the much higher scorer on the opposite team. Shows you the award's priorities. Going by the precedents since it is far from certain Russell would have been given one even if the award existed earlier. Russell after all was a consummate team player and wasn't usually the highest scorer on his teams. It really is a misnomer naming it after Russell. It should be the Michael Jordan award because it is players that fit Jordan's profile that the award favors. It's a joke of an award in multiple aspects.

I was really dissapointed with Stephs teammates last game and I hit basketball-reference for the first time this season.

Results shoked me.
