Talk about a pathetic display, against the Kings no less. Back to back losses as well. First time in probably ever for him to win MVP (he wouldn't, since he's barely the best player on his own team) since a). there are almost no back to backs and, even if back to backs are played, they are mostly home-and-homes, and b). the season barely reaches 60 games.

Clips need PG to compete with the elites. And they need him to play well. Kawhi is the core tho. But they need each other.

I think this is would've been the perfect time for Kawhi to really make a case for himself with the MVP conversation. But that didn't happen. It isn't that Kawhi is Caron Butler or anything (lol), it's just that he isn't playing as well as LeBron, Jokic, or Embiid. Especially in these pass two games. He'll have more chances, but I think the cases are stronger with Embiid, LeBron, Jokic right now.
