Rose instantly becoming Knicks' best player. Hopefully Thibs realizes this and allows Rose to score more than 18 ppg he did in the last stint as a third option.

Trolling? lol. Who is better on that roster than Rose? You could argue Randle is better based on stats, even though hes one dimensional and his game is ugly AF. The rest of the Knicks can't hold a candle to Rose.
Knicks fans will be surprised with the defense Rose plays these days. Not that defense from PGs matters that much, but he was locked in each game this season and nobody gets in front of him.
His problem so far was his fg% at the rim but it is inevitably going to improve. He had a long break and basically just kept his body in shape the entire offseason instead of playing basketball. Expect the standard 18 ppg with being a clear plus on court.

Not sure there's a winner. Detroit gets a look at Smith and a pick and gets to keep tanking and Thibs gets Rose

Randle is averaging ~23/11/6 with a 57.9 TS% and a 4.0 BPM but sure DeBrick Rose is better with his ~14/2/4 on 51.7 TS% (eeyikes) and 0.4 BPM. :yaohappy:

DSJ was one of the if not the worst player in the NBA. He was on the Knicks and couldn't make the cut.. I don't see what other teams see in him like Detroit does but they're in for a surprise.

Rose hasn’t been elite since 2012, stop it. It’s sad what happened to his career but that doesn’t mean you get to ignore reality.

Good doesn’t equal elite. He was solid enough last year and the year before but every other year since 2012 he’s been below average to horrible, including this year so far. Again, not his fault, it sucks we didn’t get to see him have a normal career, but that’s just what happened.

Rose was never MVP good. Wasn’t even a top 5 player in 2011. One of the weakest picks ever by far.

Based on talent alone, yes obviously. He could be their best player if he wants, but he generously steps aside to give the kids the spotlight. Even with that hes still a part of their big 3.

He is taking 16.5 shots per 36 minutes, only 1 fewer than Randle. That isn't stepping aside.
Randle is averaging 24/10/6. I bet not even Rose's family would argue that he isn't their best player.

If the Pistons get a good player with the pick than it's a great trade for them. Getting rid of Rose so a young guy could play and they could lose more games is great for them as well.
