This is extremely low effort. Let's face it, we know where you're going with this. When LeBron averaged the most assists of his career he won a chip.

I've never heard anybody say they dont like playing with Nash. He led #1 offenses every year and even better than MJ in that regard. The key thing is IQ and shooting ability. If you're dumb and can't shoot, being an assist hog is cancerous. (Ie wall and Westbrook) Guys like Chris Paul and Nash were elite shooters and decision makers so this doesn't apply to them at all.

Magic Johnson won 5 championships hogging assists.

Good try good effort.

LeBron > Jordan in passing in all facets of passing.

There is some truth to this. Players like bron, luka, trae, Westbrook, harden, kyrie and cp prefer having the ball in their hands over having the ball move more like in the warriors or spurs systems. This can be selfish in a way because systems with lots of on off ball movement are better for winning so essentially these players are chosing having the ball in their hands over winning. Bron has been the only one out of this group to win this way and even most of his chips were won when he played in more of a system in miami and last year with the lakers.

Funny thing is mj probably passed as much as lebron but alot of mj's passes weren't credited for the assist because they were more like hockey assists. It's the way the triangle worked. The ball handler would usually give the ball up to the high or low post and then go cut and or screen and a series of cuts and screens would be made off that. The first pass or 2 usually wasn't intended to score it was used to set up the play. With ball dominant players alot of the time the first pass is intended to score.

Talent is what wins. Why aren't the spurs or warriors winning anymore if they supposedly have the winning system? Oh... lack of talent. Talent is the only thing that matters

Teams without talent dont move the ball as well because moving the ball requires talent from multiple other players... its simple

Of course you need players dude. All things being equal though team ball usually beats ball dominance.

Nash is an exception because he's an elite shooter and frequently did catch-and-shoot, thus facilitating ball movement and high assist teams.

But the other guys are ball-dominant, non-shooters that field low assist teams

And yes - guys hate playing with ball-dominators - that's why Kyrie left Lebron and Kawhi/PG avoided him like the plague

Ultimately, the common thread in Lebron's last 4 Finals losses is massive deficits in team assists.. so lebron gets 10 assists and the team gets 15 (assist hog).. the ball doesn't move because lebron is dominating the ball and hogging the assists

Magic Johnson won 5 championships hogging assists.

Westbrook, Wall and Lebron field low assist teams because they're dominating the ball (the ball isn't moving) and hogging the assists

Otoh, Magic's Lakers led the league in assists every year because it was Kareem's team.. the ball ran through him and everyone (including magic) played off kareem

LeBron > Jordan in passing in all facets of passing.

Jordan was called the best point guard in Year 5, while lebron wasn't called that until year 17.

Ultimately, Jordan passed better as a PG (1989) and off-ball player (91' Finals)

Only because he needed to shoot that much........ even when they started winning titles!!..

That's the dirty secret - Jordan never reduced his shot volume when Phil Jackson joined... He shot 28 times a game in the 93' Playoffs because he was all alone - Pippen had a 2.0 BPM and 16 PER (lower than 13' and 14' Wade... and lower than any winning 2nd option ever)

Every ring was a high volume carry-job

MJ was a shot jacker/ ball hog

Jep, no wonder he was seen as a cancer by virtually every teammate. Pippen on the other hand, clearly the glue guy and the heart and soul of the team. You can tell how much he is respected not just by teammates, but also opponents. The ultimate compliment.

Yes, and if they had a 3rd scorer, it would've hurt their ceiling

But as it was, Stockton carried the Jazz to a sweep of Shaq's most talented Lakers and Duncan/Popovich in 1998.. only mj could beat them
