1995-96: 15.8 ppg on .543 and 7.6 rpg
1997-98: 16.2 ppg on. 511 and 8.9 rpg

More than just a solid player. WAAAY above average center in the league.

Sandwiched between those two seasons? His 1996-97 season with the Chicago Bulls.

Whereas he was using his legs to run and arms to score/grab rebounds in the season before and the season after, he was using his buttcheeks to warm the Bulls bench in his season with the Bulls. Let that sink in. That his how stacked those Bulls teams were. This is the type of player they just casually picked up to be one of the last guys on the bench. Highly reminiscent of them picking up the 20/6/5 averaging Ron Harper to be a role player.

If they weren't stacked, they wouldn't even be a dynasty lmao.

Laugh all you want, but a player capable of 16 & 9 on .500+ being one of the last guys on the bench proves they were stacked and then some.

A team whose one of the last benchwarmers being capable of 16 and 9 means that team is beyond stacked.

It proves that you never watched basketball let alone the 90s NBA.

I watched basketball in the 90s. Brian Williams/Biden Dele was a very good center at the height of the dominant centers in the NBA. The fact is the Bulls had a guy like that coming off the bench shows tha they were in deed stacked.

In the 1990's it was a pretty good statsline.

He was a good center on bad teams. The Bulls not utilizing him when he was on their roster, because his skills weren't needed for them doesn't prove they were stacked. What proves they were stacked was that they had the best player in the game, along with on of the best wings and defenders and usually another all star caliber player.

Normal person: Points out that 16 & 9 capable Brian Williams/Bison Dele was one of the last choices off the Bulls bench and not a 2nd or 3rd option
jordon extremist alts: Continue acting as if Williams/Dele was a 30 mpg starter on the Bulls, and that 16 & 9 isn't amazing in that context

:facepalm

He had this stats on the Clippers and Pistons who were offensively impaired outside of Grant Hill. They had the corpse of Joe Dumars and a bit of shooting by Lindsey Hunter. That's it. Dele was perfectly capable of scoring and rebounding in such a setup so would be the likes of Rony Seikaly etc.

So how is 16/9 on another team amazing the context of him not starting on the Bulls? What kind of logic is that? I'm not a Jordan extremist. He can get ****ed and I don't put him on a pedestal where he is forever goat. Lebron just isn't the guy dethroning him and your coping mechanisms won't change that.

Bison Dele being on the Bulls isn't the reason Lebron is the goat, but that's all these attempts boil down to with you idiots.

Yeah, that's why 16 and 9 was a statline that was averaged by all kinds of bench warmers when they switched to worse teams, and totally wasn't a statline that was averaged by a handful of stars.

Williams/Dele being a bench warmer on the ultra-stacked Bulls isn't the main reason jordon isn't the GOAT, it is only a small file in the huge folder of evidence that shows the success of the 90s Bulls was waaaay more of a team effort than jordon extremists try to make it look.

"Due to a contract dispute and reports that Williams' asking price was too high, he could not find a team at the beginning of the 1996–97 season, sitting out most of the season. He was then signed by the Chicago Bulls nine games before the end of the season and became an important backup player in the Bulls' run to their fifth championship."

He said the Bulls were so deep that he was the last man on the bench. He didn't sign until the last 9 games of the season and played some decent minutes in the playoffs.

I see. I sure wish he could've played the whole season. Insure the Bulls would've easily won 75 -77 games with a whole season of Dele/Williams.

These are the Bulls players who played less minutes than him in the playoffs:

Jason Caffey
Jud Buechler
Randy Brown

They also had a 43 year-old Robert Parish, who played 2 games.
Williams/Dele had started 65 out of 65 games for the Clippers the previous season and 78 out of 78 games for the Pistons the following season. He started 0 games for the Bulls. The fact that he was coming off the bench for the Bulls at all on probably their weakest position speaks volumes about their stackness.

lol Bison didn't play the whole season. And you want him to start?

This would be like if Bobby Portis didn't play the entire season and then joined the Warriors just before playoff. Can't expect him to start. :lol
