Doesnt matter how many MVP he wins already. He needs 5 rings to surpass Magic, 6 to surpass Kareem, thats the only thing that matters and the big question if he can move up to #3 or even #2 all time.

He doesn't really need it considering he's already solidified his status as GOAT, but it would be hilarious with some overkill.

He and Embiid are the frontrunners.

Assuming both are balling it'll probably come down to their teams' record. Philly is worse with Embiid off the court than the Lakers are with Lebron off. Lebron has a better RPM though. Don't know if advanced data goes into MVP voting but, ya, I could see a case for either dude.

Lebron has worse stats than like 11 dudes

It's another fake mvp race just like last year

Giannis was a DPOY and MVP candidate, yet somehow Lebron was a contender despite having a teammate be DPOY candidate

Imagine hating LeBron as much as you do and having to live through his reign where he keeps surpassing all of your favorite players and becomes GOAT.

You've been suffering for a long time and there's no end in sight.

LeBron broke 3ball mentally and I love it.

2012 -> Game 6 Boston. Was the biggest blue balls moment. All the build up. Excitement. And LeBron annihilates it.

2013-> the Ray Allen shot was probably one of the most painful LeBron hater experience. 8 years later they bring it up like adults bring up being abused by their parents. They will never forget it. Ever.

2016 -> 73 win Warriors team, up 3-1. And LeBron goes GOAT on them with the greatest finals play of all time. The Block > The Shot. 2016 was like getting your heart ripped out.

2017-2019 -> were the years the healing was taking place.

2020 -> LeBron daddy comes back with the belt and delivers more punishment.

PLEASE. MAKE. IT. STOP.

LeBron has more 30 PER playoff runs than Jordan. Higher PER playoff peak past the 1st round. 2nd highest playoff PER peak.

PER is a garbage stat yet LeBron still better than Jordan at it. :lol

37 PER and 32.2 PER in 2 different playoff runs > anything Jordan did PER wise.

But you haven't unproved his valid points. And how does that loss to Dirk taste? You gonna act like it didn't happen?

Who has #1 career PER, BPM and WS/48?

Jordan could've achieved a 37 PER by dominating the ball sufficiently, but then he wouldn't have great teamwork/strategy/brand of ball, and would've lost as a massive favorite to a 1-star team like Lebron did

Lebron is good at losing - only he can lose with a 37 PER - completely unprecedented - it literally takes a big man that decides to become a 2nd point guard on the floor (uniquely redundant ball-dominance).

Giannis' playoff performance proved that he was the fake MVP. He's just all hollow stats. A Most Valuable Player makes his team win; he doesn't accumulate a bunch of meaningless stats.

You do realize that no mvps have won rings in the respective years they got the award since 2016?

Lebron used to take the regular season off, which made his teams big underdogs against Finals opponents, and put his team in a suboptimal spot overall.. the underdog status of his teams greatly contributed to his weaker Finals record

Curry won 70 with Klay, but Lebron barely wins 50 with Kyrie... There's no reason that lebron shouldn't flirt with 70 wins like Curry/Kawhi did and have a favored juggernaut.. big 3 super-teams are supposed to be perennial favorites, not perennial Finals underdogs

No they didn't. Cleveland never had a chance against San Antonio the first time around. Cleveland never had a chance the two times that they lost to the GSW super team. Dirk went God-mode and shot the lights out for Dallas in 2011, so they were full value for their win. Miami was certainly favoured at the start of that series, but there's nothing you can do when a 7-foot tall guy can't miss. The only questionable loss might be the second San Antonio one, but here again, you're talking about a team that has Popovich, Duncan, and a young Kawhi.

You just sprout bullshit.

Durant had Curry, but Lebron had the guy that destroyed Curry, which is why Nick Wright and others predicted an easy Cavs victory.

But they didn't expect lebron to let Durant to go off for 36 ppg on 55% (completely erasing lebron's stat line)

Lebron hasn't been all-defense in 8 years for a reason - his defense legitimately gave away 3 FMVP and 3 titles (14', 15', 17')

Dirk went God-mode and shot the lights out for Dallas in 2011, so they were full value for their win. Miami was certainly favoured at the start of that series, but there's nothing you can do when a 7-foot tall guy can't miss.

Dirk actually shot like dog shit in that series, despite hitting all the critical shots

The only reason the Heat lost is because lebron played exactly like Scottie Pippen - 18/7/6 with zero clutch and SCARED

So even prime Wade couldn't win with Pippen.. only mj could

Cleveland never had a chance against San Antonio the first time around.

The Spurs were unathletic and couldn't handle athletic wings that could go off - that's why Kobe swept the defending champion Spurs in 08', while averaging 33 on 50%.. That kind of performance would've won the 07' Finals, but Lebron had the worst Finals performance ever - 22 on 35%

Games 2-4 came down to final possessions and Lebron lost 2 fourth quarter leads..

So experienced Kobe from 08' easily wins with the 07' Cavs, who had a top defense but just needed a juggernaut scorer that could carry loads
