View Full Version : Remember. Lebron was blessed with a strong body but didn't have to earn his status

See that's a another thing too. I'm not saying Lebron can't play. But the fact of the matter is that if I had his body, I would be great too. He was blessed with a body to bulldoze people and the league lets him do it. That's not a skill though. A skill is when someone shoots 90 percent from the free throw and can make 3s at over 40 percent, especially when you're small. Even Iverson had skill because he was only 6 feet tall.

So you can't exactly give someone like KD the same kind of credit either because he's tall. He didn't have to work at it. The people you respect are the one's that actually have to put in the work to become a great player. Lebron never worked hard, he was just built like a tank.

I'm saying in terms of respect, why would you respect someone that didn't have to work hard? Let's say 2 people are very rich but one was born into wealth and the other had to work his way to get to where he's at? Lebron never had to work hard. That's why he can't shoot well, he doesn't train like others do.

Now I know what you're going to say. That I'm just proving the point even more that Lebron is the Goat because he'd be even better if he did put in the work. But so what? It takes years and years to hone your skills.

If I had Lebron's height, I would probably dominate him. You would too. I could already shoot better from the free throw line than Lebron and I don't play. So what does that tell you about Lebron?

LeBron won the genetic lottery, but you can't discount not only the improvements he's made in his game, but the dedication he's put into remaining in phenomenal shape. Here he is at 36, in his 18th season after putting in an ungodly amount of minutes and he's still in contention for BITW. After everything he's accomplished there are a lot of players who'd be content to just mail in the rest of their careers or even retire, but he still has the drive and dedication to be the best.

For all the advantages he was given he's absolutely maxed them out

It’s easier for Lebron to play now compared to Shaq in the late 90s and early 2000s. Even with all of Shaqs size advantage, the league hacked him. Today, you can’t even be inches close to Lebron or it will be either a flop or foul. You are not stopping a tank if you can’t be physical in return.

Anyone who watches LeBron play and doesn’t see skill is retarded. Idiots talk about him like he’s Giannis.

How the hell does this happen well into your career? You’re a tank, and the lanes were wide open. How the hell did your feet get tangled in a crucial play and miss the wide open shot? This is just ugly basketball.

That doesnt undo the mishap. How can he have such a low command of the situation so as to have his feet scrammble in a wide open lane?

You can’t undo the stupid move that makes you look like an amateur. If this happened in his first 2-3 years I would give a pass.

This guy gets clumsy whenever he has to do something more complicated than just barreling through.

There are a some more videos with Lebron failing in the post with wrong footwork if I can find them.

Tripping vs forgetting how to play basketball by taking 4 steps in an ugly position? Stark difference.

Dude that is not just simply getting tangled feet. He looked like a guy that just started playing basketball in the park in that play. Its one thing to make a mistake and another to look like you forgot how to play.

Feet getting tangled up is different from tripping over your own feet???

It's no different than a guy thinking he's close to enough to jump to the rim and dunk, yet gets blocked by the rim.

Would you say... "how didn't he know that he wasn't in his range to make that dunk. He looked like he forgot how to play."

No you wouldn't.

If I had lebron's body but my hands, I feel like I would destroy lebron 1-on-1. I wouldn't want his smallish hands.. my hands are more like chris webber or duncan size, aka vastly superior

He'd still be better at 5-on-5 unless I got to do everything over again.. I didn't start playing until 8th grade
