In this hypothetical what if Russell is drafted or traded to the Lakers in 1956 and the Lakers still get Baylor and West down the track.

How different would his legacy be and also the narrative about his rivalry with Wilt Chamberlain?

As for one the Lakers of that era would have 3 of the top 6 players in the Nba with West Baylor and Russell all being on the same team and one has to think that with all that talent that the Lakers now become the dynasty of the 1960s instead of the Celtics as they would rack up title after title throughout the decade.

And as for Wilt without Russell in the east, it is very likely that he makes several more finals appearances with the 76ers and Warriors before then being crushed by the Lakers big three in the finals every single year

Also If Wilt suffers 7 to 9 finals losses for his career because of that Lakers big three how do you think that affects the way we currently look at him nowadays along with Russell.

Would you personally give him a pass for being unable to win a title against the big three of Russell West and Baylor or would you still judge him the same as you do nowadays?

As it is personally hard for me to see the Lakers at all being beaten at all during that decade as having prime Russell alongside prime West and Baylor just would have been unfair as even all-time great such as the 1967 76ers might have not been able to beat them in the finals.

Then the lakers will probably be not perennial finals losers during the 60s.

Why? Because BR will make them even better, as evidenced by his selfless leadership.
