And on the 2nd night of a back to back too.
But when they let teams blow up on them we hear it all over...

I don’t think I’ve ever read a “____ held a team under 100” topic.

The Knicks give up the least points per game in the league (that actually shocked me) and they give up 104 points per game.
That means the Nets did 10 points better than the best. That deserves some respect.

The Nets were suprisingly competitive in the 80s. I thought they were lotto but the all time leader in win shares for them is a fella known as Buck Williams. He's even above Kidd. And then there were three guys that had monster VORPs along the way while falling off a cliff after being graced to play for the Nets ~ Ray Williams, Michael Ray Richardson, and Mike Gminski.
Then in the early 90s, they had Derrick Coleman and Drazen Petrovic leading them to the playoffs every year. Sadly he was killed in an auto accident but Petrovic was one of the few players to ever stand up to MJ. Because he was from a tougher place than a lot of african americans who think all white boys are soft.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lzJp2XeDMBQ
Then we had the Kidd East Champ runs, the Carter Kidd Jefferson trio. And now we have the Harden Durant Kyrie trio. Rings are fleeting. Watching exciting competitive ball is what matters. The raptors outside of the vince carter years have been a total snoozefest. Even the year they won the ring was a snoozefest. Kawhi is amazing, but he's boring.
There's your Nets history lesson for the day.

Even when he was underachieving he was leading his team to the same playoff outcome as your boy Rudy. I'm watching highlights of him... his talent and skill was off the charts. So Coleman at his laziest was => a motivated Gobert.

It's not like they haven't done that before. The problem is consistency.
The last time they held a team to that much, the next game they allowed 128 points.

yep 20 -10 with little effort. What a waste The top pick in the draft is supposed to be better than a guy drafted at the end of the first round. I'll take the guy that works anyday. A quick look at advanced stats and Rudy tops Coleman and has yet to peak.

They definitely don't have any better chance than Utah at winning the finals.
The Jazz are an all-round, significantly better team than the Lakers.
Lakers just have LeBron, without him they get stomped.

LeBron and AD by themselves - just the two of them - are better than the entire Jazz team. Significantly better. What I mean by that is the Jazz would probably trade their entire team if it meant they could acquire just those two.

Honestly that defensive performance was deflating. The Nets held the Pacers to an astonishing 30 points in the first half. I was very happy in what was by far their best defensive performance of the season. However, the Nets reverted back to their poor defense and allowed the Pacers to score 64 points in the second half. I didn't expect another 30 point half by the Pacers but 64 is just too much. Consistency is everything and I want to see the Nets integrate these principals for more than just 24 minutes. To win a championship it's required. Anyways, excited for tomorrow's game vs the Warriors.
