Say what you will about that era, but those guys went hard out there.

I remember watching it. The West was up 20 before the 4th quarter, AI, Mutombo (still on the Hawks) and Marbury lit it up big-time at the end of the game.

not sure what's going on, not many 3 pointers, excitement, no one crying on twitter

Shout out Kobe. Literally being double team'ed in an All Star game.

The GOAT.

This one and Jermaine O'Neal ruining MJ's final All-Star Game were the best ones I watched live.

Probably my favorite all-star game.

The '98 game was also up there.

This game is a lesson to the haters.

Mandatory respect has to be given.

IMO Mutombo was the real MVP on that game. Placing him in the East lineup totally changed the direction of the game. The huge front line was of the West was destroying the small ball of the East until Mutombo entered the game.

That is a good observation and interesting argument...

Straight after the game Allen went to Larry Brown and told him that they needed Deke on the 76ers if they wanted to make a legit title run.

Despite that Philadelphia team being number one seed in the East and their starting Center at the time Theo Ratliff haveing a break out career season (but unfortunately injured), Larry Brown then approached Pat Croce and the front office to trade Ratliff for Mutombo before the deadline.
