How would you rank these players against each other: Barkley, Ewing, Harden, CP3?

Not the most direct comparison since they don't play in the same era and don't play the same position but they do share the commonality of not having won a championship yet. How do you guys perceive them?

I included a poll to pick who you think was best, but discussion about how they stand relative to one another is the main goal of this thread.

It more goes to show how spread talent was among teams back then. Every team he beat was a one star team... a pretty weak 1 star team at that.

Coleman's Nets. Pippen's Bulls. Reggie's Pacers. Not that formidable a line up.

Barkley may have had a better team when he went to the Finals, but he also went through a much tougher western conference.

Barkley over Harden is just not gonna be based on anything that matters. Barkley is worse on both ends.

Dumb with his bad gambles and dumb jumpers,, couldn’t optimally guard either forward position, couldn’t pass beyond a decent level.

Harden is pretty damn great and smart, and dominant in offense in an all-time way, and good on defense in the last couple years. All that good shit. Harden was literally, unthinkably good in his last few Rockets years for NBA fans. Literally unfatgonable. He’s getting all this respect in Brooklyn playing far worse on both ends only because people are finally actually paying attention to him.

Putting Ewing over Paul is also bad. Less so maybe, but still obviously bad. Ewing was a disgustingly bad scrub on offense his entire playoff career. He gets a legend boost from just not being given a shit about enough to have his constant failures talked about, but he wasn’t more than a role player on offense at his best in the postseason, great defender but not super mobile or aware.

Sigh. Predictable but wrong ideas on past ‘legends’ vs modern stars, as usual.

Hard to see Ewing last because he was the guy that was a made basket/play away from winning a ring as the best player on his team.
