Post their win-loss records.

Surely you know that in order to win an MVP you need to be a 1-2 seed or average a triple double when it hasn't been done in 50 years prior. Please show me Kobe's 1 or 2 seed. Thanks

You do realize T-Mac had better stats than Kobe in 2003 right?

He shouldn't have even won the year he did.

I agree about seeding. But Steve Nash????? Steve NASH sucks. WORST MVP Ever.

Love Kobe but he wasnt in the convo in 02 and even Shaq had a better case

05 Kobe was hurt... He wasnt even in consideration

06 shouldve gone to Kobe or Dirk

07 was def Dirk. Taking that shitty team to 67 wins is an alltime accomplishment

But whether Nash deserved MVP is irrelevant to Kobe's MVP case, since it wouldnt have been Kobe's MVP in 2005 and 2006 even if Steve Nash never existed. Shaq came close in 2005 and it would have been TD or Dirk's MVP in 2006 if Nash didnt win it.

2005? Lakers didn’t even make the playoffs. The player who was snubbed that season was Shaq.

He definitely deserved MVP in '05 missing the playoffs

Also, the year Kobe did win it Chris Paul should have been MVP. He put up a monstrous season while completely carrying the Hornets to 56 wins. They gave it to Kobe that year so they could finally give him one, but Paul had the better season and had a bigger impact.

Nash was o huge beneficiary of the softening of the rules starting in 2005. He did orchestrate the success of the suns tho

Gasol - 19/8/4
Odom - 14/11/4
Fish - 12/2/3

West - 21/9/2
Peja - 16/4/1
Chandler - 12/12/1

cOmPlEtEly CaRrIeD. Not to mention West played 77 games for the Hornets while Gasol only played 27 for the Lakers.

lol Look at the BPM for that Hornets team. Paul has a monstrous 10.4 while nobody else even has higher than a 1.7. That Hornets team wouldn't have won 30 games without him. Also just posting their numbers is idiotic. West may have scored 21 points, but Gasol was a far better player. West efficiency was garbage and he was not an impact player like Gasol was.

He should have 2, maybe 3. Im 100 % he would've got it if not for that instigator. 4 its a stretch

Nope. They were neck and neck, it was up in the air and they had a late season matchup. Kobe destroyed them, double pump statement slam, flap the jersey.

David Stern robbed Kobe "the G.O.A.T." Bryant of his 4 MVPs

He was 5x or 6x MVP caliber player like MJ & Kareem were. All that matters, f the media and their criteria, everyone knew who the best wing payer/player and winner was from 00 till 2013 basically.

09 and 13 should have gone to kobe too.

1 MVP is the correct amount for Kobe.

If the MVP was a career achievement award, you could argue Kobe deserves more than 1, but it is not.

Kobe never had a year where he finished a close 2nd, and you could argue he was snubbed. All of the years you listed he finished 3rd or lower, and when he did finish 2nd in 09 it was not close at all, which I guess is the reason you did not include it in your list.

If Kobe had Chris Paul's cast we'd be hearing how stacked his help was. David West and Tyson AND Peja? Would've won more than just two titles than he did with soft ass Pau. Probably beat the Celtics in 2008 with that cast. Garnett punked white boy, he isn't punking David.

And we still need to talk about how SCARED all the owners were about Kobe playing with Chris Paul.

Two geniuses.

Chris Paul was WAY... way, way, way better than Pau. Or anybody Kobe ever played with outside Shaq. Plus he was old and they all freaked out and veto'ed it. That would have been the easiest money you ever made in your life.

Instead he gets a injured, dumb, diva, peanut head dwight who implodes the team.

Kobe wasn't even the best player on his team in 2002 and had Shaq. Duncan had 36 year old DRob who averaged 12 points for the season.

2002 Lakers - 58W 24L
Kobe 25.2 pts 5.5 rebs 5.5 asst 1.5 stl 46.9 %FG
Shaq 27.2 pts 10.2 rebs 3 asst 2 blks 57.9%FG

2002 Spurs - 58W 24L
Duncan - 25.5 pts 12.7 rebs 3.7 asst 2.5 blks 50.8 %FG
DRob - 12.2 pts 8.3 rebs 1.2 asst 1.8 blks 50.7 FG%

Those stats are wrong, btw.

Another problem is LeBron should've won in 2006.

Bron was 2nd in MVP voting in 2006.

Dirk was 3rd.

Kobe was 4th.

Bron 2006: 31/7/7 | .568 TS% | 28.1 PER | 50 wins, 32 losses
Kobe 2006: 35/5/5 | .559 TS% | 28.0 PER | 45 wins, 37 losses
(That was Kobe's best statistical season and it doesn't even rank in LeBron's top 10)

Kobe was not a realistic option in 2006.

06 is the only year you can make an argument for Kobe

He didn't even make the playoffs in 05 :oldlol:

Plus the year he actually won MVP it should have gone to CP3 who had one of the best point guard seasons ever, 08 Paul was a top 15 peak ever

Saying Kobe deserved the MVP in 2005 is showing you have no clue what you are talking about. He didn't make the post-season with Rudy T as the Head Coach and he missed lots of games due to him being on trial or injuries. One of the most astonishing things I've read in a time.
