Interesting question.

Malone had just outplayed MJ in a finals the year before, altho lost due to MJ having significantly more help.

Lebron just WON a finals the year before, with a team sorely lacking in supporting weapons.

Overall gotta go with LeBJ. But I understand the comparison.

The Jazz had an aging core and still basically had the best record in the league (tied). Imagine if Karl was paired with an Mvp caliber type player in those years.
