I seriously can't believe how good LeBron is:

- Played every game in his 18th season at the age of 36, coming off playing in the finals after the shortest offseason ever.
- The Heat are up 2, have the ball and are in a situation to close out the game easily
- LeBron single-handedly finds energy to somehow create a situation where the Lakers get an open shot at the buzzer to win the game, by getting a steal then drawing a double team only to have a teammate choke.

WHAT. A. GOAT. :applause:

He was double teamed.

It was probably a mistake by Caruso to bring his man to LeBron by setting a screen, but it left Caruso open.

The Lakers got back into the game by swinging the ball to the open man as LeBron was doubled all night.

That defense LeBron played on Butler on their last inbounds was really great.

I just realized that LeBron is on one of the most impressive offense-defense combo clutch runs in recent memory:

- In the Lakers' previous game that was decided on one possession (against Thunder), he drained a clutch three to send the game to overtime, and then at the end of overtime had a key defensive deflection that ran out the clock and won the game for the Lakers.
- In this game he forced a turnover from what looked to be a certain loss, and then due to his enormous gravity created an open shot for a teammate who went on to miss the shot.

18th season, age 36 yet still doesn't cease to amaze. :applause:

StrongLurk

Lebron makes a clutch steal on defense, is doubled 30 feet out as soon as a gets the ball back with like 4 seconds left, and then passes to a teammate with an open shot.

I mean, there was only 8 seconds left when the whole sequence started and the Lakers had zero timeouts, down two...how much better of a scenario were the Lakers going to get? All these people trying to troll Lebron are clowns considering he made the whole sequence happen.

Lakers didn't LOSE the game due to these last 8 seconds. If anything, Lebron deserves blame for having a bad game overall. That's actually the reasonable take on the game.

It's completely exploitable that lebron refuses to take tough jumpers - not just at the end of games, but throughout games

Deferring the tough shots to teammates is just one of many a symptoms of a fraudulent career

He literally avoids contested jumpers and isn't good at them - this is a disqualifying factor for goat - contested jumpshooting is a MAJOR skill

If we looked at how often a short guard finishes amongst the trees for a game-winner......

And how often a taller guy shoots a pull-up over a shorter guy

We'll see that the latter occurs FAR more often and therefore lebron is a dumbass for passing in that spot... He's a frightened turtle in tight spots

b.) not ran his defender (Jimmy Buckets) into Bran allowing Jimmy to double team and basically force the pass
c.) made the open look

Bran didn't really have a choice once Caruso brought the double to him.

Depends how you want to look at it, it's not just about shooting. If you want to put the ball in a playoff series for the last 5 minutes, that list changes drastically.

There was a stat that called "crunch time" the last 2 minutes of a 4th quarter and Kobe was the top of the list in points awhile back. Then it was expanded to 5 minutes, and now there are stats for an entire 4th quarter, etc. It's just funny because whenever Lebron has a bad game, ESPN puts up a stat that shows Lebron dead last and the criteria for "clutch time" expands.

When they want to make him look good, they shrink it to the last 12 seconds and OT or something, when players like Kobe or MJ would have already "ended" the game by the 2 minute mark during crutch time, or are just rarely in those situations.

They include free throws too, which tanks Lebron's clutch stats in some areas.

MJ and Kobe were in plenty of games coming down to the final "12 seconds" and OT.

Look at your avatar for starters.

Bron definitely isn't as clutch as Mike. Saying the stat was designed to make him look good is nonsense though. Shooting 12/23 in those situations and during meaningful playoff games? That's impressive any way you slice it.

"Plenty" is relative to the amount of games played. If Kobe played 200 playoff games, and 30 came down to the final 10 seconds and OT, then I wouldn't call that plenty.

I'm just commenting on how arbitrary it is. Again, when you expand the parameters he looks very bad, and sometimes they show the graphic on purpose to paint a picture whenever he performs below his standards. No different than his Game 7 stats. MJ had like 2 Game 7s total during both of his 3 peats. One against Knicks, and the other against the Pacers. That's it. That's a far more impressive stat to me than someone who is constantly in Game 7's against teams like the Victor Oladipo Pacers or the Tatum/Brown Celtics.

LeBron is more clutch than MJ.

Big facts.

If LeBron is so bad at clutch scoring why did they double his as soon as he touched the ball?

If you expand it to the last 30 seconds or minute he's like dead last. Funny how stats can be manipulated.
If his clutch capabilities became bad somehow, at least he makes up for it with his defense. That's king kong for you.

Are you all telling me the Lakers cannot call the most basic of all plays and let Caruso set a pick, let Lebron dribble right and pull up for the jumper? There's nobody there.

That's who he's always been.

Look at the time left on the clock, you ****ing idiot.
