DM is constantly talked about by the media, got his max contract, I heard people complain that he should be starter on all-star team this season.
Meanwhile Clarkson is known as a chucker around the league and totally ignored.

Stats per 36 min:

DM - 26.3 PTS/4.7 REB/5.5 AST/1.0 STL/3.1 TO
JC - 25.0 PTS/5.5 REB/2.8 AST/1.4 STL/2.5 TO

ADV:

DM - .559 TS%/.149 WS48/2.0 BPM/1.0 VORP/4.48 ORPM/3.9 ORAPTOR
JC - .587 TS%/.143 WS48/3.0 BPM/1.0 VORP/4.28 ORPM/5.0 ORAPTOR

WTF is going on?

Clarkson plays against bench lineups more... And while Mitchell isnt a great defender hes much better than Clarkson on that end. Smarter, stronger and much more size. Anticipates way better too.

Mitchell is a clearly better passer and pick and roll player too.

Clarkson is more efficient, better at the rim, better defender but he pretty much plays all iso and plays with so much energy he can't play big minutes. He was awful in big minutes in the bubble

Sulico only has 293 posts which means he's probably someone's alt. Hating on Donovan Mitchell because he leads team with best record in NBA.

I try not to make meaningless posts that brings little to no contribution to NBA discussion. Like the one you did in this thread.

Per 36 Boban last year did 2/17 with a 60+ TS percentage and 26 Per. In fact for his career his PER would sit 7th all time between Wilt and KD.

Not that anyone cares because your numbers per whatever dont actually exist and theres always a reason bench guys dont play more.

9 min per game for Boban last year and 26 min per game for JC is a big difference.

He plays 1.5 MPG less than average starter in NBA this season.

Donovan is the face of the franchise, but he is inefficient and streaky and of the 8 top rotation players he is the weakest...in terms of consistency and he plays defense only when he feels like it, But you know the fans love numbers.

This is why real jazz fans know that Rudy and Mike are our two best players

I don't watch that many Utah games so thanks for Jazz fan take on this.

What do you feel like is the main reason for your team's success this RS? I mean something had to change for your guys to go from 60% to 80% and from 2.52 SRS to 10.33 SRS.

Remember all the hype and nut hugging for Mitchell as a rookie?

Everybody is off him hard these days.

Why is that?

I dunno about an alt, but he's definitely a dumb ass. In that top 10 passers list he had guys like Jordan, Kobe, and Iverson, but not Chris Paul. :facepalm

Bojan. why not their top 9 players?

Conley. Was small last year especially on defense. Really stepped up on that end

I think CP3 is top 20 passer of all time, top 20 dribbler and top 20 shooter too, I always trust his shot have a chance to go in. He's laser focused at all times, very smart, reliable, that's why he have constant success in this league. But because he doesn't have top tier ability, that next gear another greats have, he can't get to next level other players got to. That's my opinion, I don't force it on anybody and I don't think it's all that dumb.

Maybe from what you and see cause you hand is on the pulse of the Jazz and Utah fandom.

I was alluding to more casuals and the greater NBA fan universe, specifically those on ISH.

Sorry, but thinking Jordan, Kobe, and Iverson are top 10 passers of all time and better than Chris Paul is definitely dumb.

ISH is too concerned with Lebron

Ok.

From the stats I follow I thought more about Joe Ingles.

Career highs in TS%, points per 36, BPM, WS/48.

I only wonder if 0.7 TS% can be sustained.

Will Jordan Clarkson ever do what Donovan Mitchell did in the last postseason? If he does, I will be the first to eat my words but I highly doubt it. That being said, I haven't seen Clarkson play in a long time..

Ingles has certainly stepped up after looking to be on the decline the last two years. Pretty much everyone but Bojan has been better but Conley has been one of the best players in the league and his defense especially has been night and day. The Jazz offense was great last year after they fixed the bench. The defense dropped off

Let's hope not. Probably mean there was another pandemic and they were playing in a bubble. Doubt anyone ever does that again
