There's too many 3 pointers now. It's not basketball. Maybe in the 90s there weren't enough 3 pointers. Between 2005 and 2010, I feel like we had the right balance. In a league where you still had 3 point specialists like Peja Stojakavic, Jason Terry and Ray Allen but you still had big guys like Garnett, Duncan, both Gasols, Bynum and prime Howard. You had a pretty good balance.

Now you have teams that force their centers to take a certain amount of 3s. It's ridiculous. I also like to see players that specialize in the following things.

- Mid range
- Long 2 pointers
- Slashing
- Posting up
- Dunks
- Bank shots
- Fade-aways
- Hook shots
- One on one
- Spin moves

And lastly, defense.

You see. There's more to the game than just jacking up 3s and watching guys stand around waiting for a long 3 point shot. Back in the days, 3 point shots weren't forced. They came within the flow of the game.

everyone's gonna grow up shooting. I was amazed when I hooped with some youngins the other day that 1 out of the 8 of them actually played in the post and had some sweet moves. rest of em pulling 3 feet behind the arc

Lol, I dont know. Maybe limit the number of threes a team could make in a game? Teams can strategically use their 3s in the 4th which I imagine what everyone would do. But this stinks. Just let the defense do more, rather than these sensitive fouls being called left and right.

Just get rid of the corner three and bring back handchecking.

Stop being so lenient with jumpshooters. A little contact on the fingers after the shot isn't a foul. When an offensive players leans in to the defender to draw fouls, make that a no-call. When a player gets fouled and then shoots a 3, that's not a shooting foul so they only get the ball on the sideline. Those small changes alone will reduce the volume and efficiency of 3pt shooting league-wide.

Evolution of the game, survival of the fittest, every man from head coach to bench warmer trying to learn from the best players and improving their game and strategy or loose otherwise.

Yeah, let's just throw this all away and artificially tailor the rules to fit some guy's subjective definition of "balance". Great idea, 5 out of 5.

Damn. Then Gobert might actually be one of the best players. But ft is still a problem.

I hate 3 point chucking in allstar games. Nobody wants to see one pass, 3 pointer, one pass , 3 pointer, one pass another 3 pointer. Ughhh
