Most would say Kobe and I wont disagree. To throw a few more names out: Curry, Melo and Peak Mcgrady

Curry is interesting because he doesn't have the vast ways of scoring like the other guys. Still, he's hit some of the craziest layups and dagger threes I've seen.

Kobe for the above 6'5'' category. But little guys are always the best at this since it's harder for them to just elevate and get their shot off.

Out of the guys playing today, Kyrie, Lillard and Curry come to mind. Probably, Kyrie #1 out of those.

Liliard is a solid mention. He net some pretty ridiculous shots last year in the bubble. Hell in general with his playoff game-winners. Kyrie is a respectable mention but I think we're enamored with his ballhandling and layup package. Overall the degree of difficulty in his shots aren't like Curry's. Or even Lilard's. Super skilled but standard for the most part. Maybe I have to watch more of his games?

Kobe
Hakeem
Dirk

I'm counting nikkas that actually make them in the playoffs too

What do you mean by most difficult? Like most contested, or furthest away? Because Kobe would win in both of those. Melo couldn't hit the long fade aways with complicated footwork ala Kobe, and Curry is nowhere near as good at getting off contested shots because he's too short.

Melo is way too stiff to make moves like that. I can't even remember him being known for being a fadeaway guy. He mostly jabs jabs jabs and shoots standing straight. He can't contort his body to find the angles to make the impossible shots Kobe used to make.... simply doesn't have Kobe's flexibility, creativity, or quickness.

Not that it's any commendable ability to be celebrated, but it's Jamal Crawford.

All of that is wrapped up into one so its a combination of everything you mentioned. I wouldn't disagree with Kobe being the king of tough shot making. Perfect height and frame to pull off some of those attempts.

Disagree. If your offense dies and defense is tight having that creativity is valuable.

ITT nikkas sleeping on Hakeem

he was hitting retarded shots routinely and in the playoffs against some of the greatest bigs ever. His shot making was stupid

Also Dirk understood angles as well as Kobe IMO. Them 2 were different from the last era

People might say Dirk was 7ft.. But then show me another 7fter who was hitting the absurd shots he hit on a routine basis. He just started hitting them so regularly nikkas took it for granted
